Has anyone seen this new figure line from Mattel? I stumbled upon them on Amazon and I thought it was pretty cool how they released some of the not so popular Toy Story characters and also the display packaging screams collect me. For some reason Toys R Us search function on the site will not pull them up but here’s what I found…
If they don’t make a better version of Rocky Gibralter then I’ll probably get this version to add to my Toy Story Collection. He looks to be almost the right movie size.
I like the idea that they’re making the lesser known or more minor characters from Toy Story. I especially like the Fruit Loop Woody. And I agree, mp3markel, the packaging for these new toys is very nice. Thanks for letting us know about this new line!
Hmm these are supposed to be exclusive to Toys R Us. They’re on Amazon right now being sold by a third party but I don’t see any on Target’s website. I saw the regular Buzz at TRU and they’re pretty small not really worth 9.99 maybe more like 5.99, won’t stop me from buying them though…
Yah, that is strange. At first I thought that it was because ToysRUs was connected to Amazon.com, but apparently due to that lawsuit in '06, they aren’t partners anymore.
Has anyone seen the Rocky Gibraltar or Hamm figure in this collection? You can find Rocky Gibraltar for double the price on Amazon, no Hamm anywhere though.
Glad to see that there’s an accurate looking version of Rocky made (one of the very minor Toy Story characters), but I just wish he was bigger. I also get a laugh out of “Fruit Loop Woody” and “Bug Face Buzz”.
This is a little bit of trivia that I’m pretty sure on: Jingle Joe in the 1st Toy Story actually has the head of the Combat Carl toy Sid blew up.
