If the venture is a success, maybe Disney will revisit its decision to close the working animation unit at Hollywood Studios…doh! In any event, the opportunity to tour a working animation studio is COOL!
Catching up on the news from a few months back…Tradition Studios went under and is no more, in what might be the shortest-lived career of an animation studio, ever. Who knows what happened, but something in there smells ugly. It would be a shame if a lot of talented folks went in with high hopes that were then dashed by mismanagement or wrongful intent. Good heavens, an animated film on the auction block? It appears Tradition’s CG-animated film The Legend of Tembo will be purchased by a Chinese company after bankruptcy proceedings close. Oh, the indignity…but at least co-directors Aaraon Blaise and Chuck Williams, of Brother Bear fame, might get to finish their work in progress.
