Trailers and clips of Pixar films in other languages

I like listening to the alternate language dubs of Pixar films. However for some time (since Cars, I think) only English has been available on the US DVDs. I thought I’d start a thread for trailers or clips of Pixar films in other languages (not English). Here’s a link to start us off: Wall-E - Extrait de la danse dans l’espace. I’ve found more clips in addition to this, but I haven’t been keeping track of them (until now).

Note: Please don’t post any links to content that violates Disney/Pixar’s copyrights.

I wonder how they change the electronic voices for the other dubs of Wall-E. Maybe Ben Burtt had to design an alternate voice for each of the robots, which seems like a lot of work since I’m sure it was hard enough to design them once.

I just noticed that the US Up DVD has French and Spanish dubs. Cool!

Cool. I kinda like listening to dubs of movies and TV shows too. I dont think I’ve ever sat through the whole thing that way, but its interesting to watch for a few minutes, just to see how the voices sound. Especially if the original voice is unique. Like Roz, for example. Its one of the reasons the language reels are some of my fav bonus features.

I actually don’t mind watching a film in another language, even if you don’t understand what they are saying, as long as you seen it in English then you’re fine. Although, some of the voice actors that they choose aren’t always the best in my opinion. One example I can think of is two of Randall’s spanish voices. There’s the one for the MI blu-ray and the one that I believe is from Argentina or somewhere around there, honestly can’t remember. The spanish dub for him on the Blu-ray I practically HATE! :imp: I honestly feel that the spanish voice actor came nothing close when it came to the character but the other spanish voice I’ve heard, WAY better. sigh Too bad we get the lamo spanish version for our Blu-ray.

^ In the Dutch version he sounds pretty lame too…

But yeah, I can’t help but frown upon most of Up’s Dutch voices. Maybe I just have to see it full… I’ve only seen it in English. xD

My DVD of Up doesn’t have German audio. Which is not fun because I learn my German by seeing German stuff with subtitles. xP

Really? So his voice actor in that language also doesn’t match to that of the character… :frowning: That is just very disappointing…seriously, do they not listen to the English voice actor just to at least get just a tiny bit of an idea? Why are some Pixar characters plagued by bad foreign voice actors!

I saw the Japanese trailer for WALL-E once. Voices were still in English. I dunno if Japan dubbed it later or what.

Anyways, they used music from Meet the Robinsons for part of the trailer. I drove myself crazy because for a while I knew I’d heard it somewhere and I just didn’t know where.

Hmm…Wall-E doesn’t say too many things that could require a voice over although, I have seen other trailrs for movies in other langauges, sometimes they don’t always dub them right away…

heres the elevator fight from toy story 2 on spanish

How its gonna be in spain with toy story 3? talks the spain buzz then English :stuck_out_tongue:

For some reason I imagine that Buzz will speak French in the Spanish version of the film. I’ve got no idea why though, it’s just a hunch.

Lol, while I don’t know what they will do for Buzz in the spanish version of Toy Story 3, somehow I don’t think that he will start speaking french, I don’t know, maybe he will start speaking english…

hehe…
I’m from sweden and Wall•E’s swedish voice is soooo cute
But in the swedish verison Wall•E only talk swedish in words like “directive” or “earth”
all names he says in the movie like “ev-ah” or “M-O” is from the orginal verison

lord_zedd’s link to a TS2 in scene is quite the funny scene to watch in another language!

“No Buzz, Sono io tuo padre!” “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” Haha!

I prefer watching them in English just because I have a thing where I must watch it with their original voice actors. Yet, I’ve watched most of them in Spanish with family and it’s pretty good. My grandmother in particular always watches Pixar movies with my little cousins while she’s cooking and she has to have it set on Spanish because her English isn’t all that good. So eh… it’s alright with me.

Lately, though (thanks to the TS3 mash up trailer), I’ve been wanting to watch Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in Japanese. I can’t find it anywhere on the internet though, I has hoping to find it on youtube or some movie hosting site, but no luck yet.

(Maybe I’m not looking hard enough lol.)

If I had all the money in the world I would import them, but it makes no sense especially when I’ll be buying the blu rays in about a month and a half from now. :sunglasses:
