Tron is way cool. Unfortunately, my family doesn’t think so. My mom was rolling her eyes through the whole thing and my brother kept saying how bad the CGI was. I kept trying to tell him that this was computer animation in the pioneering days, but he grew bored and wandered away.

I absolutely loved the first one (yep, even the plot).
The sequel… well, the only NORMAL sequel I’ve seen so far is Toy Story 2. In Tron Legacy they enhanced graphics and effects a lot, but… is it always good?
Just try to compare with the modern mainstream games. Differences in plots - NONE! just shoot’em up etc. Differences in graphics - OH YEAH, each new game has more realistic dew on grass, more realistic sweat on npcs’ bodies and more realistic blood. And that is the only difference between the old and the new.
It seems to me (oh, if I only were wrong) that the sequel of Tron will expose only new graphics and far worse screenplay. Yet, this sequel simply WILL NOT FASCINATE because it is not any kind of breakthrough nowadays. THEN it was cool. Now it is casual.
really? did you know John Lasseter is involved with the sequel? I think that this one promises to be more visually stunning, and have a better screenplay.

While it does look pretty impressive, the line about [spoil]Flynn being about to change everything, including religion[/spoil] has me a bit worried.
I just hope they don’t crash that light cycle into the nearest virtual wall.
I haven’t seen the original, but I did see that trailer and boy, do I think that first and foremost, it just looks AWESOME. (I saw it before Alice in 3D and um, whoa.) It just might be the Avatar of 2010, maybe??? It’s pretty cool that after all these years, they brought back Jeff Bridges and have a pretty intriguing storyline to go with it. Don’t remember that line, tororo, but will have another look! Definitely looking forward to seeing more of this.
I saw the first one. Looking back at it, it was pretty cheesey but it was sooo good! I can’t wait for Tron Legacy. I watch the trailers all the time and I get so excited 
Have you guys seen all the images and concept artthat’s online now? Looks so sleek and cool. December is so far away, but there’s plenty of Tron eye candy to keep us going til then, it seems!

First of all, we’ll be having a panel again at ComiCon…or as we are calling it: ComiTRON It’s the third year in a row for us so we’re super excited. The panel will have Joe Kosinski (the director) and cast members Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and Bruce Boxleitner. You can read all the details on our Facebook page. Second piece of news is for any music fans out there. As you may know, we have Daft Punk scoring the film and they’ll be releasing the soundtrack in November so keep a look out for it!

I have to say, it looks amazing so far, in my opinion. I love the updated Tron world, it really looks like something new and cool, yet something that still pays tribute to the old Tron world. Mr. Kosinski did a wonderful job.
