I thought it looked CGI with hand drawn faces. Could be wrong though.

I’ve only seen the first, it was a good movie, and very 80s in a good way.

Hand drawn really isn’t that weird in Television animation. I currently watch Adventure Time, Regular Show, Sym-Bionic Titan, and that new My Little Pony show, all of which are hand drawn. What is unusual is that the show is going to be on disney, which currently has what, like 2 animated shows?

Your right, that was my mistake. I was just listing 2d shows, but I think the others I listed are hand drawn. I know that Sym-bionic Titan is, though most of the robots are done in CGI.

I think all of the others are. I still don’t understand Flash, personally.

Flash is a program that you can buy and install on your computer. It’s where a lot of amateur animators these days get their start It’s slightly difficult to work with, but probably simpler than most programs… when used really well, it can look great.

Interesting combination of hand-drawn and CGI. I haven’t watched any of the Tron films, but I do know it takes place in a computer, etc.

Last year, before Tron Legacy was released, Disney shot some footage that didn’t appear in the film, but will show up on the DVD release that hits in April. Some of that footage became Tron: The Next Day (Flynn Lives Revealed)

A lot of this would have actually been good so see before Tron: Legacy, as most of the running time here is spent recapping what happens between the two Tron films. This seems to underline that the story of Tron Legacy was a mess — People watching this will get a much better idea of some of these characters’ history than they did from Legacy — but at least watching this clip you’ll really have all the necessary blanks filled in.

I’m so excited for this! I’m hoping that it will be popular… and finally push Disney to greenlight a sequel. Somebody pointed out to me that it made more than other films that got sequels such as Star Trek, it was in 3D though… whatever. also, I agree with TDIT Mandy Moore and Tron is a winning combo for me
