Well, I look forward to your next Incredibles vid, I’m sure it’d be as brilliant as the rest! I also can’t wait for your upcoming omnibus, I wonder what theme it will be?
I’ve finished watching your twin’s “Bring Me to Life” vid, and I must say, he shares your video-editing talent and sensibilities. Great minds think alike, huh?
I love this Evanescence number, it’s a modern pop classic, if you will, so it’s quite satisfying your bro has done it adequate justice. I liked the beginning fade-ins-and-outs introducing the characters (all with jaws agape, hur, hur… ) I loved 0:13-0:21 with Bob closing the door with us on the opposite side, then Helen opens another one with us on the same side! The shots are lined up exactly, and matched to the lyrics (“…like open doors…”). Good job.
1:13-1:15’s transition synchs were well done too. “Breathe into me and make me feel” series of clips were nicely edited too. 1:36 to 1:38, excellent…I chuckled when Dash cracked the guilty grin at “Without a thought” from 2:49-2:50, that was unexpected!
The final chorus went well with the Incredibles’ reunion and them working together to defeat the baddies in the forest clearing. 3:19 to 3:25 was in excellent contrast to the ‘shocked expressions’ that opened the video earlier, now they’re all wearing confident smug grins on their faces, well done!
Well, if I have any criticisms, the attempted lip-synching around 2:39-3:04 was not really well-matched, and it got a bit repetitive with the explosions everytime “Wake me up” was sung in the chorus. But these shortcomings are not as obvious when compared to the impressive editing work throughout the rest of the vid.
So kudos to your twin, and tell 'im TDIT thinks this an impressive piece of work to even rival… ahem… his own bro’s.
