TV Shows You Watch

thedriveintheatre- It’s the UK edition, with ‘Lord Sugar’ instead of ‘Sir Alan Sugar’ as the mean businessman in charge. As someone pointed out on another TV show, calling him Lord Sugar makes it sound as though he’s their sugar daddy or something.

I watch these shows each week:

The Big Bang Theory
Survivor*
Parenthood*
Glee
Top Chef Masters
Criminal Minds
CSI
Chuck

I think these are the only ones I watch religously…
I also like to tune into the Food Netowrk a lot!

The two shows I starred I am absolutely in love with. Parenthood is new to this year, but I just love it so much. I feel so great after each episode.

And don’t get me started on Survivor… I have never loved a telelvision show more. <3 What is really funny is I never watched it it’s first 12 seasons.

Last night’s episode of Lie to Me was the best I’ve seen so far! A disgruntled farmer drives a tractor packed with explosives right into Washington D.C. and threatens to blow up the neighbourhood if he doesn’t speak to the POTUS. Dr Carl Lightman has till sundown to figure out if this mad bomber is for real, or if there’s more to this than meets the eye. The stakes have never been higher; with a class full of adorable schoolchildren trapped in his building (who can’t be evacuated as the bomber may be waiting to detonate once they come out), and the lives of an entire city hanging in the balance, Lightman must use all his powers of lie-detection to save them all, including himself!

There were parts that stretched credibility (Lightman being permitted to walk to the tractor to speak to the bomber, for example), but it was a real nail-biter of an episode, with a pretty emotional ending. :frowning:

This summer I will be watching Hell’s Kitchen every week. It is as hot as hell!

I may or may not pick up some other shows to watch weekly. I think I’d rather spend my time reading and preparing for AP classes.

I’m also watching this season’s Hell’s Kitchen, Sean! One of my many reality shows ><

For some reason I’ve become addicted, with the addition of my family, to Apprentice, Survivor, Hell’s Kitchen, Food Network Star, and the like. It’s terrible xD

Like the rest of the world I’m currently up to day with Glee, and since Community just finished It’s all that’s on that I’m watching at the moment. I just started Big Bang Theory and I’m so in love. I’m still on season one but I’ll catch up soon enough! I hope.

That show is hilarious!

I watched one episode with my bro and we both loved it, but then he acquired several seasons and started watching it on his laptop in the living room so often, I got sick of listening to it! The canned laughter really drives me crazy! :unamused:

I should give it a chance though, but my bro ‘killed’ it for me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Rescue Special Ops is returning to Channel 9 for a second season! For the uninitiated, it’s like Trauma (another show I want to watch), but set in Sydney!

I hope Channel Ten’s Rush also makes a comeback this year, too… I’m in the midst of watching last year’s season finale online!

So many Big Bang Theory fans, I couldn’t stay away forever. Had to give in eventually haha. Also I’m a ridiculous fan of Rosanne. So not only did I already love Johnny but the first few episodes of season one had this theme of, How many Rosanne characters can we get to cameo?!?! And I loved it <3

I also just dug up Undeclared. There’s a good amount of episodes on Youtube, if not all of them …It was short lived. But I love me some Jay Baruchel, the lead character. Seth Rogen is also a regular and Jason Segel was on half the time as a boyfriend who lived off campus of the college the show takes place at. I’m a sucker for this comedy team, like the rest of the world, what can I say.

Two of the coolest dudes in Hollywood at the moment in one show? Wow, and it’s about college life, something I can relate to! Thanks, gazelle!

HERE is a link to episode one, part one. This channel has all existing episodes

I just finished watching that exact video when you posted this, gazelle!

Hahaha, well whatchya think?! Someone else out there has got to like it so I have someone to talk to, besides the 6 other fans in the world xD

The finale of Glee is tonight. Despite being such a terribly written show, it should be good!

Okay, I admit that the show is incredibly addicting…

Can’t wait! I freakin’ love Glee. I’ve been listening to the album of songs for tonight’s episode almost all week…

Wait, what now? Terribly written? Uh… how, exactly?

The show is so badly written… how have you not noticed this?

The plot jumps around so much.

Issues and conflicts are:
a. brought up and resolved in a matter of sconds
b. brought up and completely and then suddenly dissapear
c. brought and resolved within an episode and then forgotten entirely
d. brought up and solved only to be brought up again in the next episode in a slightly different, but yet, the exact same way

And don’t even get me started about Will Schuester.

Glee is probably the most inconsistent show I have ever seen.

DId I mention the plot jumps around so much.

Or that it is inconsistent?

Is Mercedes nice today, or a jerk? Maybe both…
Who is Quinn living with now? Finn, Puck, Mercedes… Finn?
Is Will’s wife still around? Yes. no. Maybe…
Does Finn really love Rachel? No, maybe not. Oh wait, yes he does. Then again…
What’s up with Will and Sue? Worst enemies. Best friends. At ends. Almost lovers. Absolute rivals. Admired aquantances. Wait…
What portion of the student body will we accept today?
What school does Jessie St. James go to today?

Also, where are Finn and his mom living?
Also, how likely was it that Rachel’s mother was the coach of vocal adrenaline?

Never in my life have I ever ranted about a show as much as I have with Glee. Even multiple teahcers at school have said this show is so poorly written.

However, it is also often well written. I think Sue has some of the best dialogue ever to be on TV. Everything she says is witty, funny, and well written.

I also love Brittany; her part is just as well written as Sue’s.

So yes, there are some excellent points to the writting of this show. Mostly just Sue and Brittany though.

Glee is not at all a bad show. It is so addicting and I watch it every week. Unfortunately, sometimes the writting of other characters/plots/conflicts/resolutions/relationships/situations/etc. actually pains me to watch.

Also, I exagerated tremendously with my explination. The show isn’t that bad at all. I was just trying to prove a point through an extreme

love70ways: Welcome to high school.

x3 I’m watching the finale right now. I adore it. It’s a little confusing sometimes if you stop watching for like, 5 minutes, but I just go back and watch it again.

Sue and Brittany’s lines are sheer genius.

What? Sorry, I just don’t understand. Are you saying your highschool is just like McKinley High? I know my school, for which I am about to be a senior in, is nothing like it.

Oh no, it’s not the same at all. It’s just awfully confusing.

I’m confused. What is this Glee? Is it European?

IncredigirlVirginia, Glee is an American TV show (a VERY American TV show) about a group of kids in a high school Glee Club. It’s sort of like a musical as well, as it involves a lot of singing and dancing.

I agree, love70ways, there’s really nothing consistant about Glee at all. Actually, I’d say the only consistant thing about it is its inconsistancy! But I think that’s part of the appeal; it’s got a very quick pace and you have to really be paying attention to keep up. Flicking from one character and storyling to another means it never gets boring, even if it is very unrealistic.
