TV Shows You Watch

Frozen Planet is incredible

I’ve never heard of it.

I love Frozen Planet^^.

I haven’t heard of it either.

I also have to say, at the moment, I’m only watching The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
Oh, and Harry’s Law.

Anyone here watch Dancing With The Stars? Almost everyone in my house watches it.

I watched “Frozen Planet” last night. Pretty good. For those who don’t know it, it’s basically “Planet Earth” but in cold climates.

I saw commercials for that on Discovery I think. I liked Planet Earth so I may like that. May give it a try.

WIN

I never understood what those two shows are about.

I don’t really like them, just because they seem so slanted to me. prefer regular news shows over hosted shows, because the hosts are always really biased.

I do watch regular news, but they tend to repeat the same stories over and over again and put too much emphasis on fluff pieces. That’s part of what Daily Show/Colbert are about: Poking fun at just how much networks like CNN and Fox News mismanage and dumb down their programming

They’re late night satirical television shows that focus on politics, current events, and pop culture. The Daily Show describes itself as ‘a fake news program’, and hosted with Jon Stewart and a group of correspondants. The Colbert Report is hosted solely by Stephen Colbert, an ex-correspondant, and is a parody of a Fox news show.

That’s too bad, they’re hilarious and well written. But find me a program that DOESN’T.

Plus, they have guests from all walks of life, Republican and Democrat. And they share their own opinions and debate with the hosts. So you are seeing more than just the hosts opinions. Also, no one is not fair game. They don’t favor a certain politician or political party, and point out the idiocies or geniuses of both parties. Although both shows slant a bit to the left, but again, find me ANY news program that doesn’t.

Sounds like their pretty funny shows. I may give them a go.

I honestly don’t think they’re slanted. They’ll target either major party whenever something comes up. There just happens to be a lot of silly things from one particular side, and regardless of how well that represents the respective party, it’s hard to deny. I think it’s funny when they make fun of anyone, though, as long as the joke is clever and well-written.

Speaking of which, I’ve been watching “Daily Show” again lately.

I promise, I probably wouldn’t like it. I might give it a try, but I tend to really dislike things solely intended to be funny. Especially about politics. I see no reason to make fun of either side, regardless of which you prefer. But that’s just how I am.

I don’t think the intent is solely to be funny. It’s more that they use humour to bring attention to ridiculous things that are happening that the real news won’t cover or mention. Also, these ridiculous things are usually inherrently hilarious for the fact that they’re real - which is also scary.

Some of the things they show will make your head spin.

This clip is a pretty good example of politicians doing their work for them

I don’t think you have to like the show at all. Seems fair to me.

Thanks. As odd as it may sound, it means a lot to me that t’s okay with you that I don’t like things like that. I don’t care if others watch them, but they usually just hurt my feelings.
