United States presidential election, 2012

You guys have heard that Donald Trump might run for President, right?

Yes, I have heard about Mr. Trump. I also remember a thread a little while ago about Brad Pitt considering running, too.

Reagan? Swarzzy? Now Trump? Aye, aye, aye. We need Stephen Colbert to run for Prez (oh, wait, he did that already! ).

Pitt is considering running in 2016.

Why. Would. Brad Pitt run?

Anyway, I wasn’t fair earlier. I judged Trump based on his pathetic extramarital affairs, which is irrelevant to politics. I’ve read about him, and seen his show, and grown to kind of appreciate him. He’s a self-made man, and that’s hard to come by these days.

I used to prefer Sarah Palin, and I still respect her, but she’s too radical. I’m so tired of extremists. :frowning: I love her, I just wish she was a more desirable president. She’s too one-way for me.

Sarah Palin can’t lead herself out of a paper bag, let alone a nation.

I’m sorry, but I can’t stand her. I’ve been a Obama supporter from the beginning, but at first I actually liked John McCain, I really did. But when he chose that ditzy, ignorant woman as a running mate, I lost a lot of respect for him. Sorry, that’s just how I feel.

Eh, I like John McCain pretty well. He probably only chose Sarah to even the ticket, personally. They never talk because she derailed his campaign, and I don’t blame him for her actions. He didn’t know how bad she was until it was too late.

He must be pretty blind, one look at that woman and you can tell she’s a disaster.

I don’t understand to what you refer. I loved her, a female Conservative. <3 Then she opened her mouth and words came out. :`-( :shake: Wham! Love is gone. :frowning:

We haven’t had a good president since Reagan.
H. W. Bush - Moron
Clinton - Liar
W. Bush - Idiot
Obama - Liar, in love with himself

I hope we get a decent president in 2012.

That’s harsh.

I liked W. Bush, no matter how hated he is. He was just misled. Could be worse…

Im a Rep so I liked him a little. We just gotta get the country back to normal again.

This shows the rankings for the presidents.

I like both Roosevelts, Reagan (my favorite), Lincoln (though he had alterior motives, I LOVE his main idea), Bush #2, Andrew Jackson, George Washington, and that’s it. Sorry.

Those are all good presidents. I also like Truman cause he’s from Missouri, like me. Even though he did decided to bomb Japan, at least were friends now.

Japan is my favorite country. <3

We they never sighned the treaty, we wouldent have as good video games, TVs, and other stuff like that.

Yeah. I wish we could have "fixed"Japan without obliterating their culture and making a fool of them in front of the world, though. :frowning:

That’s the problem, he was the fricken’ president! He should of been intelligent not to mislead by and be so trigger happy.

I like Obama.

My dad commented on how Obama is left to clean up Georgie’s mess the other day. In Mr. Bush’s autobiography, he (somewhat fittingly) ends his memoir with a description of him picking up his dog’s poo in a public park after retiring from his presidency. One can simply picture the political cartoon possibility now, this time with Obama scooping up Mr Bush’s ‘legacy’… XD

Another interesting article I read the other day described Obama’s recent tax cut negotiations with the Republicans as ‘trading hostages with more hostages’. Basically Obama got a temporary compromise package in return for extending Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy. The far lefts aren’t happy and make a ruckus, but Obama tells them to take what they can. It is my humble opinion that Obama should have bargained for more. According to the article, there will be a brief job stimulus before unemployment will return to 2007-2008 levels after 2011, which is around the time before the elections again. And then the Republicans get to twist Obama’s arm a little more. The rich get wealthier, the income gap gets wider.

Rule number one of hostage negotiation: Never trade hostages for hostages.

My dad (who moved back in) says Ron Paul’s going to win in 2012. :shake:

A Libertarian president? My life is over…

I love Ron Paul! I really wanted to see him move past the primaries, but it didn’t happen. As much as I’d LOVE to see a Libertarian president in 2012, it won’t happen. The Libertarians may be the largest political party (after the Dems and Reps) but it’ll be a long time before they reach the White House (unfortunetly for me)

Reminds me of a quote!

Guy 1: He’s joined a cult!
The Cloak: What cult?
Guy 1: The National Libertarian Party
The Cloak: Holy Freedom Fris! Don’t worry, sir, I’ll find your socially liberal but economically conservative lizard, don’t you worry!"
