To answer your question, yes, this is produced by Christopher Meledandri’s studio Illumination Entertainment that did Despicable Me and the upcoming Hop and Lorax.

…Didn’t they JUST reboot Curious George?

You know, the hand-drawn movie, the direct-to-DVD sequel, and the TV series? Will Ferrel was the man in the yellow hat!

Guys? Hello?

Yes I agree with the Chicken Man. It seems the studio is pulling a Spider-Man… rebooting a series after only a few years.

I know for a fact my mom has the DVD of the recent film they just made, and that Jack Johnson is on the soundtrack.

I really hope they don’t make this isn’t a computer animated film; it’ll be so awkward seeing George in three dimensions.

O god no!!!

Ugh, I agree. Awkward, awkward, awkward.

Do we really need a Curious George movie every seven years or so?
And the article even addressed the fact that the last Curious George movie wasn’t successful, why are they doing it again?

I liked that traditional movie about him. I don’t care it was mainly aimed at five year olds, I still liked it, okay?

And I lol whenever I see him, because in Dutch his name is ‘Nieuwsgierig Aapje’ which my mom misread as ‘Nieuwsgierig flapje’ once. xD Don’t ask.
