Everyone knows something useless, right? Everyone has a useless talent, right? Post yours!
For me, i’ve memorized π up to 20 decimal places, memorized Ratatouille about 90%, and have freaky good balance.

Not even sure if this is a talent, but if there is a TV on and it’s on mute, and I’m in the next room, I can ‘hear’ a buzzing noise, which is the TVs frequency and I know the TV is already turned on without having to look at it. Can other people do this?
Oh no, I have seen this before… …wait? No, your OK. Really though, that’s really cool, I have never heard of this!
I know the worlds hardest wood is Lignum Vitae at a side hardness of 4,500 psi and a specific gravity of over 1.30?
Hottest pepper, Bhut Jolokia / Naga Morich I know because I grow and eat them Heat level 1,000,000 Scoville heat units, a Jalapeno is about 5,000 and Habanero about 350,000.
I know there’s more up in my head, but I gotta shake it loose or something?
Useless talets huh? Well, I am ranked in the Top 10-20 of the most popular football game Madden.
Hey, I can do the same! Some people find it irritating, I think I’ve gotten used to it. Highfive for having the same usesless talent!
Another useless talent: You know how when you have a puzzling look on your face, so you lift up one of your eyebrows? Well I can do that with both eyebrows. Not at the same time of course, but one at a time. It’s VERY useless, but it amuses people plenty.
And … for a useless fact: In yellow rooms, babies become more anxious.
I know exactly what you are talking about. I’m trying to think if this applies to it when it’s on standby too. I’m taking a guess here but this could be a form of autism. Some people, and I think this especially applies to autistic people, they can see a neon light as it flickers, even though this is undetectable to most people, and that’s why some autistic people wave their hands in front of their eyes as they try to block it out. Also, the same thing with sound, sometimes their ears can be really sensitive so they try to block out the sound with their hands. I’m not sure if this applies to other mental disabilities other than autism.
I’d like to consider my knack of being able to offend or disgust almost anyone a talent.
Jaiki - Borat voice Highfive!
bawpcwpn - Well, I don’t have autism so I’m just guessing it’s a brain glitch. I can’t hear it when the TV’s on standby - only if the sound is off that I notice the noise. I actually assumed most people could do this…
TSS, were you typing those words with your nose, or something?
Yep. Any high pitched noise. I can hear cat repellents.
A banana is actually a herb.
I can hear a sound and figure out the its key in about a few seconds. I can also sing any note perfectly on pitch. (Not sure if it is useless, but hasn’t gotten me anywhere big yet)
that means you have perfect pitch. I can tell what key It’s in, but not sing it.
I can flare my nostrils very quickly, and if I wiggle my eyebrows at the same time, it looks funny. Not exactly a talent, but still.
Well one of my friends mother works with autistic and people with mental disabilities and she thinks that everyone is a little autistic.
I go to a grammar school and I know someone with aspergers syndrome, and they’re getting on just fine.
I can do the same RC. I don’t necessarily “hear” it…it’s sorta like a sense in the back of my head. This same “feeling” happens when a stove is turned on too. I agreee with you though. I think it’s just a brain glitch shrugs
Hmm useless talent…let’s see, uh …
I guess a useless talent I have is the ability to impersonate close friends and family to the point where I can act out/predict their actions in certain situations. For example EXACTLY how they would react at a surprise party (for them), what they would say, AND how…
Oh, yea…and I’ve practically memorized evey Pixar movie (that’s out on DVD except maybe Ratatouille) word for word (including adlibs)
That’s about all I can think of at the moment…
Rachel: Wow! That’s amazing. Sometimes i even fool myself when i turn the TV to channel 0.
Dude: That’s interesting. Now i know which wood to use if i want to make a covered bridge…over the Grand Canyon.
TSS: Don’t you mean taLents?
Jaiki: I can move my ears, but my eyebrows are impossible to move one at a time. i’m trying hard not to covet that skill, mainly because the Bible says not to covet, and secondly, because it’s so useless. XD And that’s not too useless of a fact.
bawpcpwn: That’s a harmful talent!
WALL·E: I thought bananas were berries.
At the Denver State Capitol, there are three markings at different elevations all each claim to be exactly 5,280 feet above sea level.
Nome, Alaska, was named “Nome” because of a cartographer’s poor reading skills.
Black color is a mix of all colors. White light is a mix of all light.
George W. Bush choked on a pretzel.
It is amazing what happens to you when you done singing for abour nealy 10 years of your life. I can easily hear the notes and sing it. Usually, after sight singing though a song in one day, I can pick up the starting and ending note in a matter of seconds.
Why don’t you be a singer for pixar! that could land you somewhere!
We’ll see, we’ll see.
I am not sure if this counts, but my top useless talent in my family is video game skills. Brawl, Madden, Tennis, Wrestling, Basketball, any game.
Wii? I’m a PS person myself.
Well, I got the Wii and a PS3. Competition can get really intense in my family. Each member has their talents and weaknesses for video games.
