Useless Talents/Facts

Now, that is something that I know for a fact.

Shark Boy: Taylor Launter,

Lava Girl: Taylor Dooley

Get ready for movie trivia!

-In Matilda, the levitating chalk and the floating book was actually done with no special effects- just magnets and a fishing hook were used to make it possible.

-In Enchanted, the scene with the [spoil]Happy Working Song was done with actual rodents and birds running in and out of the room. The ones holding brushes, curtains, and that are cleaning are animated, but they animated images of the real animals.[/spoil]

-The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl’s characters and story was actually created by, believe it or not, the director’s son Racer Max when he was about 7 years old.

-In the film Nim’s Island, they used two sea lions to play the role of Selkie. And the animals are real.

Sorry for the double-post…

In my culinary arts class, I am the only girl in my group. I wish I could be more like Colette, but I’m not tough enough. Plus, if I dare poke one knife through another student’s sleeve, you can bet I’ll be suspended, or worse.

I just read a lot of magazines and gathered a ton of fun facts. I’ll post up a big list sometime soon, so watch out for it. (I’ll only post it after someone else posts on this thread, because I don’t wanna triple-post)

I can screech really loudly and high pitched and people said it hurts their ears.

My guy friends used to have me screech into the bathrooms and scare people because it was louder because it echoed. I don’t do it anymore though because peole started to find out it was me. :astonished:

My name means blooming. Ugh how girly for someone as anti-girlygirl as me.

#fact: Women will turn right each time they enter shopping malls. LOL

Wow, I know so many useless facts. like:

Fact: The first known video game was Space Wars, NOT Pong, made by a group of MIT Students.

Fact: Sonic The Hedgehog’s Shoe Design is based off of Michal Jackson’s.

Fact: Mario used to be a Carpenter and is now a Plumber.

Fact: Mario’s full name is Mario Mario. So, Mario Mario, Luigi Mario. lol

Fact: Sonic The Hedgehog’s favorite food is a chili dog.

Fact: Sonic The Hedgehog’s World is called Mobious because of a bad translation on a magazine’s part. Sonic’s creator, Yuki Naka, was actually referring to the mobious found in Sonic 2.

and there’s plenty more where that came from. :sunglasses:

I was an avid bird watcher from the age of 7 and can still name many north american birds by sight.

Haunt: That is SO cool!

Useless Talent: If anyone has seen the Yugioh Abridged Series, I can do some pretty good impressions of most of the characters voices provided by Martin Billany AKA LittleKuriboh, including Joey Wheeler, Serenity Wheeler, Bandit Keith, Yami Bakura, Mako Tsunami, Kemo (My hair is being assaulted!), and Marik. Of course there are others, but…yeah. The day I get a good microphone and someone asks I’ll gladly record voice.

Useless Fact: I am a huge Sonic the Hedgehog Game fan.

Which reminds me that I do sub-par Jason Griffith Impressions.

Yeah, anything Voice Acting in general interests me.

Random fact about me:

I’ve been reading since I was 4, and writing (story writing) since I was 6. I can remember that by age 6-7 I was reading chapter books and journal stories. I used to write these “mini-stories” for school (with atrocious grammar and spelling!) on the computer and print them out for my mom, and wrote short stories in my notebooks all the time. I found one of my old stories the other day and was actually surprised at how many grand adjectives I used (and knew the meaning of). I mean, stuff children my age would be asking, “what does that word mean?”

I can also recite the movie Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius by heart. Thinking about that fact now is a bit embarrassing… haha.

Useless talent?
Apparently I can skin apples and mangoes in under 40 seconds

Roflcoptinator: D8

Though I don’t consider myself professional, I am unusually gifted in music. In fact, I just uploaded a piece on YouTube (couldn’t think of anywhere else to put it  ), using only one piece of software, which I just got today!

Since I was about 11 or so, I figured out that I can like, make my ankle on my right leg snap without hurting myself every time I move it a certain way. I can do it as many times as I want, and it doesn’t hurt at all. o_____O

I can name pretty much any pokemon by its shadow. If only I could figure out how I memorize that much and use it for something of purpose like scriptures or something. xD

I can see molecules! LOL! Just kidding… I think.

Really, if I like stare into space and cross my eyes a bit, I see these little transparent ball-looking things that float and bounce around. I know it’s not dust or rain (duh). If anyone has any ideas on what it is, I’d love to hear them.

I’m pretty good at Guitar Hero, if that’s considered a talent. Also, for a beginner, I’m pretty good at shooting skeet. Lots’a fun. Um, I’m really good at math? I don’t know, all I can think of for now.

Those are light spots, or ‘eye floaters’ - and they’re actually pretty common. In that particular article they actually mention how you can see them while staring into a clear sky, depending on the person, I see them quite frequently after I look away from a bright screen or when I close my eyes.

Oh really! Cool! Thanks little chef!

I found another one. Believe it or not, I can open locked doors in my house! :open_mouth: Scary!

No probs, Sally.

I found out last night that the aforesaid “talent” of mine, the popping the ankle one, isn’t all that impressive to other people. I did it last night to show my sister and my best friend, and claimed it didn’t hurt or anything, but they said it makes them gross out. It’s not even like, weird-sounding. It’s just a pop every time I move my ankle a certain way! :frowning: What a let down! And I seriously thought it was just awesome!
