User Names

This topic was

started some time ago by JV, I believe. However, it hasn’t been discussed in quite

a while and, since we have more new members as of late, I decided to restart the

thread…

Why did you pick the user/screen name that you have now?

Here is my story of why I chose the particular name of ‘Mitch’ (I just copied this from the first

“usernames” thread – heh):

To put it

bluntly: My sister and I had a fight, and she won, but I got her back without her knowing it.

And since nobody could possibly understand what I am talking about:

To elongate the

first explaination: After the Ratatouille teaser trailer was released, my sister and I went

bonkers. We became addicted (and still are!). We watched the trailer every day (and we still do), we went to any

website that had information on the film (and we still do), and I started to write my own Ratatouille story

(which I still haven’t completed yet). You get the point…

Anyway, we finally got into a discussion

concerning the title character: Remy. Since we didn’t know his true name, at the time, we decided to name him

ourselves (or, at least, guess at his name). We finally came up with one name each. Leia, my sister, picked the

name ‘Matthew’. I picked the name ‘Mitch’. She said to me, "His name is not ‘Mitch’. ‘Matthew’ is

better!" Ooohhh…but I just knew she was wrong! ‘Mitch’ was definitely Remy’s name. :stuck_out_tongue:

And

then…the cat came out of the bag. While browsing the web for more information on Ratatouille, I came upon a

webpage/website (I think it was Wikipedia) that listed the cast of the film, one of which was Patton Oswalt, who

does…dah-dah-dah-da!..Remy! We were surprised – and a little disappointed --, it was true, but we didn’t

care. Remy suited him just fine.

A few months later, and I found this site! And guess what? Now I can

call myself ‘Mitch’ without my sister knowing, because it was, after all, Remy’s first “true”

name…

Hee hee ! That’s a very funny story .

I used to be on blogger

a lot because of the Teenage Roblog , the blog where the creators of My Life As A Teenage Robot explained what

was going on . I decided there that my name would be wakeman’s_assitant ( she wass my favorite character ) . I

had not yet made a blogger name .

Then I found Upcoming Pixar and when I posted my first comment there I

thought , I shouldn’t put wakeman’s_assitant here , it won’t make sense . So

with a few minutes of thought , I decided I would call myself that . The name stuck , and I used it as my blogger

name .

When I found Pixar Planet , I knew I should use the same name so everybody knew who I was .

A little more simple than Mitch’s . I like my name even more now since the initials are glp , unlike my

actual initials , pms .

Well, here’s why I’m Pixel Candy (and like to be called Candy)…

Basically, about

two and a half years ago I decided to start playing Neopets again. I toyed around with usernames and eventually

picked something random: “candykitty”. I just called myself that for a while. Then when I was old

enough to go on the chatrooms, I made some friends (fellow artists) and they randomly started calling me Candy

for short. That was pretty cool, so I’m basically known as Candy on the internet now. (It’s safe not to reveal

your real name… mostly. My real name is actually Alice.)

And from then on I just decided to have

my nickname as Candy on whatever internet sites I’m a member of. So yeah. Lol. As for the “Pixel” bit

in my username on this site, it’s kind of tied in with “Pixar” and is related to internet pixels,

and… -rambles- Okay, I’ll just shut up now. You get the idea, right? :stuck_out_tongue: Eheheh.

The story of how I got my name is not at all interesting.

It came from my ‘Fairly Odd Parents’ phase, and I wrote an FOP story on ff.net as my first fanfic, and I ended

up keeping the name. I’d like to change it on ff.net to my future author name, but I can’t bring myself to

change it since it’s been there too long.

That, and I’m a New Yorker shock and proud.

To explain where The Star Swordsman

came from:

It all started with my first ever Incredibles fanfic. I made up a character who was a master

swordsman who, not only joined the Incredibles to battle evil, but also was a complete “spin off” on

me.

And I hope this explains The Star Swordsman for you guys.

aZnCdn is short for Asian Canadian, which is what I am.

Wow – you all have such

interesting backstories! Keep 'em coming…

Thanks Mitch, although I have to admit, mines doesn’t sound that intresting compared to

everyone else.

The Star

Swordsman - Heheh – you’re welcome! And what are you talkin’ about? I think it’s very

interesting and cool. Just be glad it’s not as complicated as mine concerning backround history. (snigger)

Thats the point. My background story isn’t as

complicated as yours.

FigmentJedi is my penname at Fanfiction.net, obviously deriving from my favorite Disney character, Figment, and

since then, I decided to use it as a universal screenname. Only place I don’t use it is at WDWMagic and

Kaijuphile message boards, the first from being unable to change it(I’m Tahu on there, after one of the earlier

Toa characters in Bionicle), the second from being content with Figment enough and that the webmaster there

despises Star Wars to the point where Lucas is censored.

Um, mines not that interesting…

So I found this

outstanding, this

unbelievable, this amazing

site: Pixar Planet

After deciding to join, I

had to think up a name. After an hour of fruitless thinking, I remembered that part in Toy Story when the Pizza

Planet driver shouts “Hey Gasduuuude!” to the pumpman at Dinoco.

So Gasduude

was born!

Gasduude - The funny thing was that I was going to choose that very phrase as my

screen name as well, since I love the word ‘dude’. But then I thought, “Naaah”. I’m glad I didn’t

take it, because now you have a chance to have it!

I was also thinking of picking the obvious name of

“Remy” for my username, but somebody already had it.

I like

lizards. And I’m a girl.

lizardgirl -

That’s incredible. (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:

The Star Swordsman - Well, it

doesn’t really matter how long or how complicated of a backstory is behind your screen name – it’s whether you

like the name you chose or not that matters. And I think your screen/user name is very cool.

Mitch -

Thanks!

Wow, you thought of the same name!?

That’s pretty wierd, I mean, it’s not like “Gasduude” has anything to do with Pixar, what are the

chances of that!? :open_mouth:

I like your’s lizardgirl, it fits somehow with

your avatar!

Gasduude- Lol, yeah, my love of lizards definitely extends to Randall.

Thanks!

Bill is just my nickname.

lizardgirl: How fitting.

I love how most of the usernames here have to do with out love and passion

for Pixar.

Well, I think my name is self-explanatory. I can’t

deny what I am, and I’ll shout it to the world if I can! It originally came from the DC Talk song "Jesus

Freak."

What will people think when they hear that I’m a Jesus freak?
What will

people do when they find that it’s true?
I don’t really care if they label me a Jesus freak,
Their ain’t

no denying the truth

I heart that song.

I used to use the name FisherOfMen in

most places, but people kinda took it the wrong way…yeah…lol.
