Just a
short, simple question: How do you request a new Usergroup?
For example, if I
wanted a Ratatouille Usergroup to be created (which I do), then how would I express
my request? Should I just ask for it here, or should I write to Dash (or another Pixar Planet
administrator/moderator)?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
hehe - yeah - I’m pretty much the one doing Usergroups so
I’m your go-to guy. When it comes to Usergroups for movies I was gonna wait 'til each movie was actually
released since it’s a group for fans and I’ve always been of the opinion that you have to have seen something
to be a fan of it but after listening to you I’m starting to rethink that or at least make an exception for
you.
I gotta run now but I’ll think on it. =)
Dash - Oh, thank you, Dash! I
realize that it would be better to wait until the said movie is released, but you know me; I’m rather obsessed
with rats.

What is the actual gain in joining the user groups, do we get anything extra.

far as I know, you may simply join a group in order to support – and show your love for – the group. You can
express your love for the group of your choice in any way you wish. For example, I created a ridiculously long
(but effective) summary on the topic of Finding Nemo in the said section in order to
show my support for the Usergroup that I joined.
I guess it is a
collection of people joined by the one movie they love. Now there are some usergroups for the Mods, Brain Trust,
and Radio Pixar Staff. Now I don’t know if you get something special if you do join a user group, however, there
must be a reason why. Our master (salutes to Dash <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and
Wink" /> ) should know why.
hehe - right now they’re just there for users to network with other fans with common
interests. In the future though as they grow I hope to do more with them and see them sprout into their own
little communities.
Dash - Sounds wonderful. I also expect to see
bigger things happening with the Usergroups in the future. Unique avatars and/or specialized member names,
perhaps?
