Everyone on this board has a rather unique username. Anybody want to share why you chose your username?
My username is… well… my name. So much for
unique. ![]()
Lol! Me too! Hahah. How about we
ask The Star Swordsman where his name came from?
I on the otherhand, took advantage of the fact that I got
here early enough so I could use my actual name and not have to make up some strange one. That is hard for me.
Heheh.
My username, J (stands
for my first name) V (stands for my middle name) TIZ (is a word I made up, it means Super Cool!) PIXAR (is
because I Love PIXAR)

How kind of you to ask.
Well, everyone here should know that I am really
obsessed with The Incredibles. When I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. Ever since the
movie was relaesed, I have been going on to sites, forums, checking the news, anything that has to do with the
Incredibles. In addition, I have boght Incredibles merchandise, draw some fanart, make some music videos, reading
and writing fanfictions. I bet you all get the idea.
The Star Swordsman came from my first ever
Incredibles fanfiction called “Violet Valor”. The Star Swordsman was inspired by my first ever own
character. His name is Valor, and he is an incredibly gifted swordsman Super Hero. He is a complete resemblence
of me.
That is where The Star Swordsman came from. Anyone who has read my fanfic should’ve guessed.
DWH =
downwithhydrogen. 'Tis
my orignal screen name, and has followed me around with variations on the DWH theme (JediDWH, Commander-DWH,
Hippified Jedi DWH, Literary Detective DWH… you get the idea).
Why down with hydrogen, you ask? Because
it breaks all the rules, and thus my junior year of high school my honours chemistry class kicked it out of the
periodic table. It’s a really old running joke. But it’s the handle that stuck, so I guess I can live with
it.
When I registered at my first english-speaking forum,
I had to find a new username. So I played with a few variations of ideas, and then Groaning came in to my mind. I
LOVE IT! ![]()
My username really comes from
the 80’s song “Kyrie” by Mister Mr. (or is it Mr. Mister? I never can tell…) Anyway, I was joining a
messageboard and I wanted something esoteric, cool-sounding, and had a Christian message, as well as being tied
into one of my many interests… I don’t really remember how I got the idea, but I remembered once looking up
the words to “Kyrie” and finding out that “Kyrie eleison” - which are the first two words to
every line in the chorus - were part of a Catholic liturgy (called unsurprisingly, "the
Kyrie") and meant “Lord, have mercy” in Greek. Now,
I’m not Catholic, but I loved the message, and the song is one of my all-time favorites, so I picked that. And,
given that it’s never taken when I join… well, almost everything but Xanga and Myspace, I think it’s pretty
esoteric enough. The only problem is when nobody knows how to pronounce it the way I do. Well, that and it’s so
long that I’m always having to ask people to call me Kyrie or KE when people type the whole thing out.
Uhm. I like lizards.

Usually I’m SylverStrike though, but that just came
out of impatience with all of the good names on deviantART having already been taken.
My choir sang it one time many years ago . . . great song.
Yet we stretched
the translation (which can be done from old laguages to an extant), and sang “Oh Lord, have mercy” in
the English parts. it was a Greek/English Mix.
As for my name . . . well it’s quite simple. I’m from
Phoenix, and if you think about you may just realize that that means I’m a phoenician, i.e. a resident of
Phoenix.
Plus it’s cool and epic, sounding from the land of Phoenicia.
Some people out there have
stolen the name already, so you may see me as TruePhoenician, OnePhoenician, Theoneandonlyphoenician, and by my
nickname, Pheon. (yeah, I know the o & e switched spots!)
Obv really.

I actually appear elsewhere as aFELIXFELICISday. Being
both a latin student and Harry Potter fan… I thought it appropriate. In Harry Potter it’s the name of the
potion that gives the person one perfectly lucky day. So essentially the usename means, “a lucky day”.
In latin it means “Lucky, of the lucky”… same word except one is nominative and the other is
genitive. Lol. And you thought I wasn’t interesting… ![]()
My name’s origin is somewhat
similar to DWH’s, only it never was even a running joke. A leisurely strolling joke, maybe…
Anywho,
back in, I guess it would have been the summer between 6th and 7th grades, if I remember correctly, I had a
friend. Surprising, I know. Anyways, somehow or other he one day called me a “diminutive elf,”
despite the facts that I’ve always been fairly above-average in height and my ears are not in the least bit
pointy; I think that at that age, he thought that “diminutive” could refer to small in any sense, not
just height, and I most definitely am quite horizontally small, and for some reason that I have never known he
thought that I did have relatively pointy ears. So, he called me a diminutive elf.
The name stuck. For about a week. But, it happened to be the week that I first got an e-mail account or an IM
account or signed up for my first forum or something of the sort, and I decided that I’d use my new
“nickname,” but that I’d cut out all but the first letter of “diminutive”: for one thing, it
was a heck of a lot shorter, and secondly, it just looked really cool, especially with the enigmatic capitalized
E. I tacked on a 42 to pay homage to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which I had recently discovered and
fallen in love with; somehow “delf42” was already taken, which leads me to believe that it most likely
was an IM account that I was signing up for, so I just added a second 42 on there. The original nickname itself
died within a matter of days, but shall always live on in infamy in the wonderful world of cyberspace.
And
that, my friends, is that.
You know, I got called an elf, too… as well as dwarf, smurf, troll, and gummi bear… In high school,
there was this guy in my German classes who thought I was short (that may be true, I was kind of tiny as a
freshman), and so it started… it started with elf, then dwarf, and eventually worked its way up to smurf and
gummi bear by senior year… even though I grew over the 4 years to be within 4-5 inches of him… I was still
shorter than him, and so the names continued… I earned a few others from him over the years, but they’re not
relevant right now…
The funniest story, though, happened the first time he called me “elf.” I
got mad and smacked him with my gym bag (which was totally soft and caused him no injury). This happened at the
exact moment that my teacher walked into the room. Whose name did she call out in shock at the event? Not mine!
All she said to me was, “I’m assuming that was called for…”

Sounds cool, like my love of the
APT-P titliting train of Britain in the 80’s, but the stupid Mrs. Thatcher never funded the project and it
collpased.

love wolves more than all of you. Except Riku. stares you down if you didn’t know that ![]()
TheIncredible. First, I love The Incredibles so much I would marry it if it were human.
Second, I am simply incredible.
I was joking about the second part.
Well at first I thought I was gonna use a Pixar type name
but then I just decided to use the one from my other forum. I picked lennonluvr because I love John Lennon so
much! Then i picked the number 9 because 9 was a really significant number to him. Put em together and you get
lennonluvr9! Yay! We can all sleep easy now ![]()
FigmentJedi is my penname at Fanfiction.net and it became
my universal screenname for any forums and other communities I registered on since. Figment is my favorite Disney
character and the primary character of the fanfiction stories I’ve been writing for Fanfiction.net. Jedi part is
from Star Wars obviously and the Battle for Disney story does take a bit from the movies in places, especially
with Figment’s experience in the Nightmare Realm(Epcot basically becoming Mustafar)
