Vacations

Fall Vacation? The only time my fam is able to take vacations is in summer. We used to take little weekend trips (like when there was a 3 day weekend for some reason) and we used to do that on Thanksgiving weekend, but that was when we kids were younger and didnt have to work, so it was a lot easier to match up schedules.

LENNON-Wow…so you would go on a vacation yearly??

My family has tried to continue that but with 7 kids its really hard…

Yeah as far as i can recall we did go on yearly vacations, up until 2000. After that year the only thing that was a given was the Beatles convention in Chicago, after that it’s pretty much up in the air.

went on a mini holiday to blackpool y/day and today, and nearly broke ym back on the Irn-Bru Coaster.

Oh boy, that sounds frighting.

i just got back from LA - that was a nice, relaxing (and warm) mini-vacay

I just started going on snowboarding trips with my family. I’m pretty good at snowboarding, I can go to the top of the mountain and ride all the way down. That’s my definition of GOOD.

I wish I could, but the only places I have in mind are extremely cold this time of year. :stuck_out_tongue: I might go to PA for a few days, but I’ll just say ‘no’ 'cause I’m not entirely sure. And it’s only a two-hour drive from here, so it’s not necessarily a vacation. :stuck_out_tongue:

mo: Snowboarding is SO much fun! But you sound way better than I do…I can make it all the way down the mountain…after about 20 falls. I should practice more!

Anyways, speaking of vacation, I’m going on another mini one to LA this weekend! It will be nice since it’s like 30 degrees here and almost 80 there!

I’m so jealous of you, CoCoMeister! I’d go to LA without a second thought! Especially as Steve Buscemi apparently lives there, and I’ve always wanted to stalk him.

I’ve been arranging a three week thing to New York/Washington/California with a friend of mine who somehow has family friends in all of these places, but alas, that’s going to be sometime in the Easter of 2010, so quite a long while to wait until then.

Steve Buscemi, ey, lizardgirl? If I saw him, I would’ve been sure to say hello for you…but alas, no celebrity sightings this time around!

a 2-hour-drive could count as a holiday for us, eh lizardgirl?

Why is that Wall-e ?

I mean 2 hours of driving would get us to a holiday destination!

Ooh … and where would it take you? :stuck_out_tongue:

CocoMeister- Darn it! Well, maybe next time.

WALL-E- Two hours of driving could get me just past London or something, and the nearest beach from me is probably about three quarters of an hour away, but if it’s in England, then it’s not a holiday. It just doesn’t count. I don’t believe in this whole ‘holidaying in your own country’ thing- you’ve got to go to a different country for it to count!

I don’t have a passport, so technically i’ve NEVER been on holiday?

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT EVERYONE!

(Okay, not really, but if you consider me a friend here, this is pretty significant! :stuck_out_tongue:)

I’m in Singapore right now for my school break, I just arrived from Oz Wednesday night. Hooray!

But I’ll be away very soon on an Eastern Europe vacation, so I won’t be on P.P. and YTube from 29th November (this Saturday, which is tomorrow here in Sing) to 11 December. So I’ll be MIA, AWOL, and persona non grata for at least eleven days!

I’ll also be off to the Pearl of the Orient, Penang, to pay a visit to my grandparents from 15-21 December. I’m totally lookin’ forward to eating Penang laksa and char kway teow!

More details later, cos’ my ma is pestering me to go eat dinner out now…

I’m incredibly jealous, thedriveintheatre! Singapore is such an interesting place to visit. You’re lucky you’ve got family there- always a good excuse to visit! Hope you have a really good time, and I look forward to you telling us all about it when you get back.

Have a great Vacation TDIT!!! Hope you enjoy it!
