I grew up on
VeggieTales! Iām from a pretty religious family, so it was REALLY nice to finally have some actually-funny
humor at church.
Big Idea is actually coming out with another VeggieTales movie! Either in 2008, or
I canāt remember. Hopefully itāll be as good as the videos. (Does anyone remember if Jonah was any
good? I saw it in theaters, but only remember hating it. But then again, I was in that dumb tweenager phase where
everything is āstupidā so I donāt necissarily trust my memory on that one. :/)
Yeah Jonah (unfortunately) suckedā¦In fact, I believe Big Idea Inc. went bankrupt because
they lost so much money!

They did, actually. I remember reading about
that now- they were purchased by another company and thatās how they got to stick around.
Hopefully
theyāve learned their lesson, and maybe their next film will be much better. I sure hope so, because the
original videos were so great! Hereās hoping they bring their sparkle back.

I never saw Jonah. I became too
old for veggietales. Why did it suck?
TSS
- Well, errā¦just about everything I guess! The animation was lame, the story a bad parody of a
story from the Bible, limited scenery, horrible songsā¦the list goes on! Iām probably not the best one to ask,
because I havenāt seen it in a while, but I think itās safe to say that the talking veggies did not entertain
in their first one on the big screen!
If I remember right- one of the reasons I hated it is because I think the ending to the movie wasnāt the
correct ending to the story as it was in the Bible. >:/ I know there was SOMETHING wrong with the ending- but
I havenāt seen it since it came out, soā¦
Well, I thought so too
ā until I found that Jonah actually did reject God at the end of the storyā¦kinda funny!
Iām not sure if that was the bone I had to pick- but that is pretty funny.

I love the score! I canāt
wait til the trailer come out online!

Haha ā I just saw that
yesterday! Big Idea is hilarious: They always base their scores upon other,
widely-known films. It also seems as if their computer animation skills have improved.
Interestingā¦
Yep, Iāll probably see this film in theaters, even though Iāll feel like a little kid
doing it. I love VeggieTales; always have and always will!
Thanks for the link,
JV !
It was
wierd. My mind was completely on veggie tales today. I mean, all thoughout lunch today, we were doing nothing but
singing our favorite veggietale songs.

The Star Swordsman - The disease is spreading⦠(snigger)
Are you going
to see it in theaters, The Star Swordsman ? Heheh.
Probably not. I kinda lost intrest in the newer
veggietales, so donāt expect me to see the movie.

Yeah, what happened to them? Ever since they went
bankrupt their films have lost their āpepā and exhilaration. Rather disappointing, actually, but at
least their sense of humor still shines out in some of their productionsā¦
And I donāt think I would like it.
After all, after been talking about Pixar, and other great animation, then you bring in this movie which doensāt
really compete with Pixar animation.
I think before Big Idea got big, they didnāt have to much of an emphasis on animation. After
all, they only had a Big Idea . Then, they focused on the morals and the story; now
theyāve lost some of that when they try a little too hard (in my opinion) to have good looking animation.

Gasduude - My thoughts exactly. Big
Ideaās journey sort of took a turn for the worse. Back in the "good olā days" they
relied on ingenuity and creativity. Today, however, it seems to be more of a āquality over quantityā
induced circumstance/matter. The morals still exist, but on a rather deceased level.
Thatās why Phil Vischer
began the āJellyfishā project, to get back on coarse after āJonahā flopped and
Big Idea went bankruptā¦
Kinda sad, actually. At least their videos still
sell! Iām glad they do. Heh.
And, since Jonah did poorly, what makes this new Veggietales movie going to be any
different?
awww, Veggie Tales! I used to own all of the videos
when I was little, and whenever I was sick, or something bad happened, my Mom would buy an episode for me, as
a treat. I still have the old videos I think⦠havenāt seen them in forever⦠but I always liked
them, I didnā t know they were doing another movie though.
Yay for VeggieTales! I love it!
Just as I collect all the Pixar and SpongeBob SquarePants DVDs, I collect the VeggieTales and occasionally catch them on TV on the weekends.
I canāt wait for the next one!
