What kind of dinosaur do you think he is? Also, now that Rex is Trixie’s companion, how do you think he feels about VelociStar being Trixie’s friend?
He’s a Velociraptor toy who plays online games, and is a fan of The Shining. Thats really all you can say without making stuff up from nowhere.

I know Trixie is supposed to be from the same line of dino toys as Rex, and I think it’s on her “Meet Trixie” description (or whatever you want to call it) that it is mentioned that there are also a stegosaurus and velociraptor available. I actually thought, wouldn’t it be funny if VelociStar is really the Stegosaurus, pretending to be the cool Velociraptor? I know they would never actually show/tell us any more about him, but there ought to be some “people online aren’t always who you think they are” twist to his identity.
That would be funny! 
I always took it as a throw-away joke, no explanation offered. I guess they were just online buddies, like us!

I actually like that idea quite a bit. Could make for an entertaining short down the road, should Pixar be thinking along the same lines.
Here’s a question: have Trixie and “VelociStar” actually met? She says he’s from down the street, right? SO is it possible that she knows him because Bonnie and the kid who owns him have played together before? Or is it just common for toys to go online and figure out ways to meet other toys? (Seems like it would be kind of difficult to do, or at least lead to some very odd conversations.)
I loved this small part of the movie.
It’s a cute joke for all the AIM useres out there. I’d like to know more on him, but I also dont mind if we dont.

I always thought that Velocistar237 was human (hence Trixie’s hesitation), and that he didn’t know Trixie was a toy. 
I dunno since she did say that it was another dinosaur from down the street.
Whenever I see that scene I can’t help but imagine how Bonnie’s mother would react if she was clearing out the computer and found all the archived chatlogs from between the toys.
Exactly…hence the hesitation.

Implying that Velocistar237 is a video game nerd like Trixie.
