Video Games

I like some old video games Pacman, ms. Pacman, Frogger, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Jr. Donkey Kong and ladyBug

My brother’s looking forward to it. He showed me the trailer and while I was impressed, I asked why didn’t the hero just do all the nasty work like in the first two games’ trailers instead of counting on ‘cheat snipers’? :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn’t he the little fellow with the Brit accent? I want to play Secret Agent Clank on the PSP, looks like fun!

My bro’s looking forward to this, too. He lent me Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones for my PSP and I’m lovin’ 'em both so far! Completed the ‘Riddler’s Revenge’ and ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ stories so far.

The playable character Ezio is now the Grand Master Assassin which means he is the leader. If he wants backup he’s getting it.

Fairy 'nuff. Thanks for clearing that up. Though I still think it’s cooler if he was a one-man army.

I like all the GTA games  and the Call of Dutys <3

The Need for Speed franchise has been criticized for getting too generic, too ‘try-hard-cool’, and too ‘identity-confused’, among other things. After a string of mediocre installments (with the possible exception of Shift), the most recent one, Need for Speed World, being a re-rendered Most Wanted and Carbon MMOR with Mario-Kart power-ups, it’s almost safe to say Need for Speed has lost its mojo.

So it is with great surprise I watched the trailer for their next game, ‘Need for Speed Hot Pursuit’. The title is a bit lazy (like Fast & Furious, or The Final Destination), and it is essentially a reimagining of HP2 with open-world environments, but I was blown away. THIS is the game fans have been waiting for: Exotic supercars evading tough speed-enforcers down unbelievably spectacular routes.

I’ve been a longtime fan of NFS3:HP and HP2, so I’m very pleased they’ve finally listened and taken it back to its roots. No emphasis on superficial-customization, no cheesy undercover-cop storyline, no urban environments with terrible rap music playing in the background, no yobbo-ish ricers (well, I do hope they include good imports like Furais and GT-Rs for this), none of that BS… Just straight-up racing and chasing, like the original series pre-Underground. I would have liked for there to be individual tracks all over the world, like in Porsche 2000 or any of the pre-Underground titles, but the E3 demo screenshots do have some remarkable scenery.

The new Autolog player-matchup system also sounds pretty sophisticated (this was created by the folks at Criterion who did Burnout Revenge, another favourite game I played). And there’s also damage-modeling a la Pro Street and Shift! This could be quite possibly be the best NFS since Most Wanted, and along with TDU2 and DriverSF coming out this fall, there’ll be a whole lot of gaming goodness to be had for the year-end holidays!

E3 Reveal Trailer (A much better use of a ‘30 Second to Mars’ number than 'Legend of the Guardians)

EA Press Conference (Skip to 2:07)
Listen to his line and watch the on-screen images at 2:46. Hallelujah!

The release line reads “16 November 2010.” Kudos Criterion!

Any NFS fans here?

Recently got the two DS-Zelda titles Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.

While I like the latter more in terms of story and for giving Zelda a more prominent spot than in the other titles, the Spirit Flute is simply the worst item ever in a Zelda game.

I just can’t figure out how to play it properly. I have never had a problem with the ocarina, wind waker, wolf howling, you name it - but this time Nintendo has messed up the instrument control scheme big time. :frowning:

Using the microphone and stylus seems nice and intuitive at first glance, but the way they implemented it just does not work for me at all.

I agree with you on the Spirit Flute, totoro. Even though I haven’t played many Zelda games I already started to hate the Flute the first time I had to do a duet with one Lokomo. Every time I had to do this I needed ages but now I’m almost at the end and after that I finall start Twilight Princess.

I’m not much of a gamer, but I do play video games once in a while. I’ve got WALL•E, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Lego Indiana Jones, and Star Wars: The Clones Wars: Republic Heroes (my most recent addition) on the Xbox 360; Ratatouille, Backyard Baseball, and Kim Possible: What’s the Switch on the PS2; WALL•E on the PSP (yes, I have two different versions of the game); and Pajama Sam (on both the Wii and the PC). I had Kim Possible: Team Possible on the Game Boy, but I lost it somewhere around my place.

I forgot to mention: I also have Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels for the Wii!

My top 10 favorite games (no order) Smackdown Shut Your Mouth, Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Toy Story 2, Madden 07, Scarface: The World is yours, & Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Hmm, I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted my favorite video games on here, but they are:

-Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
-Mother 3 (GBA)
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
-Mega Man 2 (NES)
-Mega Man 9 (Wii/360/PS3)
-Banjo Tooie (N64)
-Monkey Island 2 (PC)

i love video games, it’s just part of my life

The series of games i like are
Sonic the Hedgehog (yeah it’s a shock)
Super Mario
(less known) Oddworld Inhabitants
and Kingdom Hearts

right now i am playing Toy Story 3 because of my fandom
(I secretly sign out of Playstation when i play it)

for some reason i am embarrassed about playing it

I love Sonic The Hedgehog!

But why should you be embarrassed?!

Yeah supersonic84, you shouldn’t be embarassed about being a fan of something! My dad is a huge fan of Pixar, aand he’s not afraid to show it

I finally started Red Dead Redemption this weekend! So far so good. The graphics are pretty awesome, and I like the variety of the missions.

Just completed the Ratchet and Clank short game, Quest for Booty, and it was pretty good! Not as good as the full length games either side of it, but still it had some new features which almost (but not quite) made up for the lack of Clank.

I got back to playing WoW again… Sigh. :stuck_out_tongue:

Uncharted games, any day every day! If you are a PS3 owner Uncharted 2 is a must in my opinion! I can talk for ages about this game but I’m not sure if someone already has I could’ve missed someone so I’m just gonna ask, anyone els loving these games?

I own and have beaten both of the games, though I can’t say I’m a huge fan.

But on the topic of the PS3, are you a fan of inFamous?

oh no that’s too bad! I’m just nuts about them haha yup have tried out the first inFamous unfortunately when I downloaded the demo it downloaded in french for some reason so I couldn’t understand a squat! But it was pretty cool, am a sucker for anything comic-book-like so I enjoyed it yes! Can imagine you’re pretty excited for the sequel?

I’ve never played the Uncharted games, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about them, so I might pick them up in the future. I’ve played inFamous before, it’s one of my favorite PS3 games. I loved the ending, [spoil]when you find out Kessler is actually Cole from the future.[/spoil] I’m really excited for the sequel  I like what I’ve seen from it so far.
