I want to get God of War III. It looks like a sick game.
Also I can’t wait for the Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel. The trailer for it was to only show that there is going to be a sequel. It’s probably going to come out the end of this year.
I already posted this in the incredibles section but thought I should share it here to. LittleBigPlanet on the PS3 will have the incredibles costumes and creation kit available from 8th April. I hope this is just the start of more Disney/Pixar content. Imagine a Woody or Buzz sackboy. Can’t wait.
Yup, juuuust beat Super Paper Mario. And in good ol’ Vianerd-tradition, I cried at the ending.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a Mario game with such an awesome storyline…
Also, Banjo-Kazooie. I’m drawing it as a comic. Already on page 7!!!1
I just got the game Diddy Kong Racing for my N64
Fun game
Ah, the N64. I remember when one of my cousins had that platform.
On a note relating to Nintendo, I’m finally buckling down and added a DS XL to my wishlist, mostly because of the latest Pokemon games, including new anniversary editions of Gold and Silver!
I got the first Halo, finally. I also rented Mass Effect 2, but I haven’t played the first Mass Effect, so I’m a little off on the story. Mass Effect 2 is one of the best video games made, ever. It has to be the most epic piece of science fiction since Star Wars.
I’m also interested in playing Heavy Rain, unfortunately, I don’t have a PS3.
Here are some new games I got for it:
Really like this game, great environment
The best tennis game I’ve ever played besides the tennis on wii sports
Really fun game.
Also on Monday I’m gonna order an FC Twin
It plays NES and SNES games, look
Cool, right? I also ordered the Friday The 13th game on ebay
Can’t wait to play that
Bought myself a couple of games during the time…
- Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic games (DS) - I have both this and the Wii version but I seem to like the DS version a little better actually.
- Sonic and the Black Knight- I don’t mind the story concept but I wasn’t so fond of the gameplay controls and the whole thing of Sonic using a sword, the boss fight against King Arthur was a little strange due to that for some strange reason Sonic runs at the speed of sound but he can’t outrun a horse?!
- House of the Dead Overkill- Always been a fan of shooters and if you ignore all the f-bombs, the game is rather enjoyable.
- New Super Mario Bros Wii- Pretty good, challenging in some parts but it’s nice to see the Koopalings again.
…and that’s what I’ve been playing for the while…
I finally got two of my favourite games from the old DOS days again:
Descent 1+2
Time to blast some nasty robots to scrap metal…
Kevin Conroy, the great voice actor for Batman said the Arkham Asylum sequel will be much darker than the first game. Also he accidentally said that Two-Face will be one of the villians.
Lately I’ve been playing Super Mario World and the Donkey Kong Country saga.
All amazing games.
Gameplay-wise, I think that Super Mario World is one of the best games ever. Finding alternate exits is awesome. Also, Yoshi.
Been into Super Mario Galaxy 2 lately. Probably one of the most addicting games I’ve ever played. They pretty much pulled out everything I didn’t like about the first Galaxy. One of the best games I’ve played in a while.
I’m really excited about two racing games and one FPS:
Split/Second. It looks like Burnout and Mario Kart had babies and Michael Bay was the midwife! Not only is your car a weapon, but the entire environment as well. Building collapse, fuel tankers explode, and even a jumbo jet lands in the middle of the racetrack! It’s eye-popping, wanton destruction, and you have to drive right through the thick of it! And it’s by Disney Interactive of all people, and rated E10+ for Violence (not Cartoon Violence, just Violence!). Talk about intense…
Test Drive Unlimted 2. The game takes you to Ibiza, the party capital of the world, as you race exquisite sports cars and act like the millionaire debutante you are. It’s like the Sims, except you get to drive beautiful machines through spectacular scenery. And you even get to take a flight back to Oahu if you want! Two games for the price of one.
Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days. The single-player campaign is really like the first game, except in Shanghai. You play as one of a two-man team of robbers who specialise in high-stakes heists, while navigating a world of greed, treachery, and deception, yadayadayada…
The part I’m really excited about are the multiplayer campaigns, particularly the ‘Undercover Cop’ mode. In a nutshell, one of the players is chosen to be the ‘mole’ who is on the law-enforcement side, without the others knowing. Everyone has 4 minutes to steal as much money as possible and make it to the checkpoint alive. Like the first game’s ‘Fragile Alliance’, you can choose to shoot your friends in the back and grab their share, but everyone will be informed you’ve turned traitor. In ‘Undercover Cop’, the cop can kill teammates without the rest knowing (unless he/she is spotted), but this can only be done after the crime is commtited (ie when the teammate steals the cash). Kill anytime before, and the cop is disqualified immediately. NPC policemen won’t fire at the mole, so there’s a fine balance between acting like part of the team, and stopping them from succeeding in the mission. It makes for pretty riveting alliances and betrayal team dynamics!
There’s a trailer explaining this interesting mode, but be warned there’s one-two instances of STRONG LANGUAGE.
Battlefield Bad Company 2… with friends… is fun.
Lately I’ve been playing through Diddy Kong Racing again. The original on the N64.
Gosh I forgot how adorable that game was
whenever I play it or hear the music, I become happy… for some reason. I usually play as Conker or Pipsy.
Also I’m finally getting Super Mario Galaxy 2 tomorrow! I’m so excited!
A new teaser for the next installment of the Driver saga has been released at E3!
Dodge this Challenger…
I love the nod to the opening mission from the first game (the timed stunt run in the carpark, complete with the checklist!). I’m a bit disappointed it is a live-action cinematic, but I can’t wait to see how they’ve updated the in-game visuals. I have the first and third on PC and the second on Playstation One and I still play them from time-to-time, so to hear the Mustang again is great news for me! Not sure if it’s a sequel (with the cryptic ending of Driv3r) or a straight reboot, but I can’t wait, anyway!
Can’t believe it’s been ten years…
I’ve just heard the most amazing news.
There’s gonna be a Donkey Kong Country 4.
It was announced a short while ago on the E3.
I cried tears of joy. Finally those ten years of waiting paid off. Because we’re getting another Donkey Kong Country.
The epicest thing in the history of epic you guys.
3DS was just announced. Cool stuff. You can take 3D pictures and watch 3D movies. From what I’ve seen, I’m looking forward to Mario Kart, Kid Icarus, and Street Fighter for the 3DS. The Wii showing was nice as well, Zelda looks pretty awesome. Overall Nintendo’s show outdid the last couple of years by far.
…and the best thing: they are going to remake Ocarina of Time for the 3DS, and that version will finally fix the hassle with the iron boots, so the water temple should be much more fun.
I was at my local newstands and the official Playstation Australia magazine had a preview of the upcoming Driver reboot. There’s a much-touted feature called ‘Shift’ which allows you to hijack cars like an omniescent diety and switch vehicles multiple time throughout the pursuit while the AI takes over your previous car. Obviously they must have taken a few points from PSP’s Pursuit Force, but it goes way beyond that. Although you still have Tanner’s objectives, you inhabit the body of the driver in the different vehicle. An illustration they gave was that you may be racing along as Tanner, and then you suddenly jump to an elderly driver in a station wagon, for example. Once you start driving eratically, your side passenger wife complains about your driving.
If this sounds novel, it probably it is. But you have to give them points for trying to spice things up in a very tired genre. Besides, think of the car chase possibilities, now that you can control multiple vehicles consecutively throughout a pursuit! You could jump to a tanker ahead and cause a pile-up explosion, as is demonstrated in the spectacular E3 trailer just released on the official site (Or you can watch the embedded video below).

Oh, and it looks like it won’t be just Tanner who will be making a return…
