Banjo-Kazooie is the BEST! Honestly, I can hardly think of another game that left such an impression to me… first played it when I was five years old and it stuck with me ever since.
All older Rare games are awesome! Some newer ones, like Viva Piñata and Kameo, are too. Just… not Kinect Sports… urgh…
Donkey Kong 64 is awesome, I frequently play the multiplayer with my best friend and her little brother. One thing I find awesome is how they included Krusha, too, if only as an unlockable in multiplayer. I mean, c’mon, Krusha! I love Krusha he’s awesome haha.
Star Fox Adventures is the only Star Fox game I’m interested in, honestly. Because it would’ve been Dinosaur Planet… still is, the only thing that changed is the main character and some other stuff, really.
Sorry, when I hear the name “Rareware” I start rambling. That’s fangirling for you!
Haha, no, I love your Rareware fangirling posts! The multiplayer in Donkey Kong 64 rocks. I’m angry about Kinect Sports, personally. Isn’t that what Wii Sports is for? Why does Rare feel the need to make their own equivalent? Argh. shakes fist Even Conker’s creator Chris Seavor has spoken out against it!
Yeah, I mean, Rare’s older games were so… real to me! Even though they were obviously games starring talking animals, you could actually believe it was real.
And then they make a sports game. An unimpressive sports game devoid of colours, googly eyes, and just plain Rare charm, so that it looks more like a playable Kinect ad than a true game.
I miss them.
However, I’ve heard rumors of a Banjo-Kazooie game coming to the 3DS, so all hope is not lost after all! If the rumors end up being true…
that is awesome, one of the biggest technology achievements of the last decade, I loved my 64 console in its golden era, my love for some franchises were stablished there, nowadays I play the 64 games on the virtual console,
PS: Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Tome, Mario 64, DK 64, Golden Eye, Banjo, Pokemon Stadium 2, Majora’s Mask, Concker, Mario Kart, F- Zero, Killer Instict, Kirby 64, Perfect Dark and Smash Bros, susch an epic and enjoyable era
I love every single game you just mentioned there, awesome!
Badger: Yeah…maybe if it were more silly and contained Rare’s signature style, I’d like it. It’s not that I’m against the idea of a sporting game…I’m against the idea of a sporting game that isn’t remotely set apart from the rest!
Appearently, the dude that is going to be on the next Madden cover for the next football season is Peyton Hillis. I might get it for my ps3. We’ll see though.
Nobody can excite me like Nintendo when it comes to E3. Nintendo floored me (and I’m sure many others) last year. After years of consentrating on the casual crowd, and maybe showing their fans who have supported them before they started talking about their Blue Ocean strategy with one games, it was good to see a return to form for Nintendo last year. I don’t care how amazing the competitions graphics look, or how cenimatic their games are, nobody can excite me like Nintendo. I’ll take a trip through the Mushroom Kingdom anyday over some war torn country in Call of Duty, or any game like it. I love my PS3, but I love Nintendo games more. I’m so looking forward to the announcement of their new system. Although, I have a feeling that it will be in HD, but not 1080p. This is Nintendo after all. But if it is, I’ll be one happy person. The thought of playing Mario in 1080p is very exciting. And I’m looking forward to seeing what they have in store for the 3DS. I want one, but there’s nothing out right now that compells me to spend over three hundered dollars on a system and a game. I read that after getting off to a hot start, the sales have started to cool. But there’s nothing out right now to move systems. But I’m sure that will change once Zelda 3D comes out. And Mario will really move systems. The 2D Mario on the DS sold over 15 million copies.
I gotta praise the Nintendo 64 like some others in this thread. It is my favorite system from Nintendo. People always think I’m crazy for choosing it over the NES or the SNES. But I had some of my best gaming experiences with the 64. And the things Nintendo introduced to the world was so amazing back then. Analog controls, the rumble pack and 3D adventure plaform gaming. And playing Mario 64 was mind blowing! Discovering new worlds by walking up against walls or paintings to see if they would make that wave motion. Spending crazy amounts of time getting the flying cap and shooting myself out of a cannon and flying around exploring the worlds from the air and listening to the awesome music that played while I did it. Back then, playing Mario 64 for me was like going to Disneyland. I was always filled with awe and wonderment while playing. The epic battles of Star Fox 64. Mario Kart 64’s awesome race tracks (my favorite was the Yoshi track with all the different paths). Golden Eye’s amazing AI. And Rare topping that with Perfect Dark. The seemingly never ending Hyrule Field in Zelda Ocarina of Time. The amazing dinosaur fights in Turok. I’m regressing right now as I type this. I want to dig out my 64 and play it.
Basically. The 3DS is the first of its kind. We’ve always had to wear glasses to see entertainment in 3D, but Nintendo has invented a gaming device using stereoscopic technology to make the gaming environment more in-depth and realistic. Woah, wait a sec. How did I know any of that? I feel like I was just in a 3DS commercial. Creepy.
Lately, I’ve been all over LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. It’s got tons of cool new features that the other LEGO Star Wars games didn’t have before, such as:
-Force movement you control (you can use the Force on an object and move it freely rather than just stand there until it moves to a fixed location)
-Ground battles (pretty much like the Star Wars: Battlefront games, where you take command posts, and you can set up barracks, cannons, air support, shields)
Okay, so since the PSN came back online, i had to make a new account. So that meant I had to restart my COD black ops game and reearn all of the guns, perks, weapons, and more.
