I agree with this. There are people I know who grew up on Mario and now they think Mario games are lame. But they love their yearly Call of Duty games and the MANY games like it. And when it comes to the graphics, I get so mad when people bash the Wii and talk about how there are no good games for it. They only say that because of the graphics. We haven’t gotten three Mario games on a Nintendo system since the original NES. Then there’s the Metroid games, the Zelda games, Smash Bros., Golden Eye, Sin and Punishment, Super Paper Mario, Donkey Kong and many many more games. Nintendo really brought it last year when it comes to the hardcore audience. If the system was HD, people wouldn’t be complaining. Time spent in the Mushroom Kingdom>>>>>time spent in some war torn country.
Did anybody pick up Sonic Generations? I so want this game but I’m broke right now.
You’re probably going to ignore this since I know alot of you here aren’t big Grand Theft Auto fans, but have any of you seen the new Grand Theft Auto V trailer? Looks like they’re bringing San Andreas back. What do you think?
people said the same with Wind Waker, and see how it turned out to be, one of the best Zeldas in history and overall, one of the best videogames of all time
Wind Waker is the true example of how people can be wrong judging a game with a specific graphic style, it demonstrated how chaming and innovate the cgi technique is. Only the ones who have played it, know what I’m talking about
in other words, Wind Waker ROCKS, believe it or not
Graphical style doesn’t determine what the game is actually like. It can boost one’s enjoyability from the experience, but it has nothing to do with how fun the game is. Personally, I think the graphical style should just be determined based on the tone/atmosphere of the game. In this case, the cartoon-ish look of Wind Waker matched its story really well.
that’s a fact that disappoints me from nintendo, they hasn’t done anything to great franchises like Star Fox, F-Zero, Pikmin and Earthbound in this generation
Personally, I just want to see Mother 3 get localized over here. I think the series is best as a trilogy (much like how I feel about Toy Story), so no new games need to get made–but the first and third need to get officially translated and released in the States and Europe.
