Video Games

Well, I decided to start another, popular, topic of interest:

What kind of video/computer

games do you all like to play?

As for me, I have played computer games most of my life, so

I have quite a few cd roms devoted to the “platform”. I have a

PlayStation2 console, as well, which I also love.

I’d list all of the cd

rom games that I have, but I think it would take up too much space! Therefore, I’ll just mention my

favorites…

Computer Games:

 • Frogger 1 & 2
 • Croc 1 &

2

 • 102 Dalmations: Puppies to the Rescue
 • The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride Gamebreak
 • Toy Story 2

Action Game

 • Call of Duty
 • Tarzan Action Game
 • 3-D Dinosaur Adventure
 • Chaos Island (The Lost

World: Jurassic Park)

 • Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb
 • The Sims Unleashed

I have a few

PlayStation2 games, as well, and most of them are either Star Wars or

Pixar related.

Another of my favorite PC games is a "Land Before

Time" one, I’m rather embarassed to say. (snigger)

What about you guys?

I’m addicted to

SIMs for PS2. Just because I love to design the houses

and get all creative and stuff. x3

I also play Kingdom

Hearts (1&2) and I’m determined to finally finish

Haunting Ground. The game freakin’ scares me too much.

But I can’t tear myself away.

I also played the

Cars game which was cool but a disappointment for me

since it took 2 days to complete. I was playing The

Incredibles but the camera adjustments got out of wack and … well, I got hooked

on Haunting Ground again and never turned back.

x3

I also played Jak & Daxter- not too fond

of 2 and 3 or the racing game- my brother’s attached to those three. I preferred the first.

I’ve also

been meaning to dig up my N64 to play Banjo Kazooie,

Banjo Tooie, and my 2

Zelda games. I’m starting to miss them. ^^;

I

keep trying to make it work but I think it’s dead for good- if anyone’s interested in park-making games, buy

Jurassic Park Dino Genesis. I loved it. I used to let

dinos out when I was bored and they’d eat people. xD I’ll most probably buy the game again if my original copy

doesn’t get it’s rear in gear.

FONY - Heheh – cool. You’ve got alot of stuff.

If I may ask: What are the

Kingdom Hearts games like? I’ve heard that they are quite fun and addictive to

play, so I’m rather curious about them as of late.

And yeah – I have Jurassic Park:

Operation Genesis, too. If I could get the darn thing to work on my computer, I’d play it again.

Ditto on watching the dinosaurs eat the people. Did you ever win that one level where you have to create a

suitable habitat for a number of herbivors and provide tourist attractions (included a safari tour) for the

guests? 'Cause I’ve been stuck on that level for ages…

I’m addicted to the Sims for the computer. The console

versions really just arn’t as good. I want Sims 2, but my computer doesn’t have a high enough graphics card,

and we tried to upgrate it once, but apprently it just… can’t.

Final Fantasy game are pretty fun.

Mostly X, X-2, and XII

.Hack/G.U. is another fun one.

I love Jak and Daxter, too. But Not so much

the 2nd or 3rd. Its a biiiig change from the first one. I like teh Daxter game, as well. XD I mean, it’s Daxter,

what’s not to like? XD

I love playing my

Incredibles games, Madden Football, Soul Calibur, and so much more.

Heh. A topic I specialize

in.

Lets see…

Link to the Past for Nintendo was one of my

favorites…and it introduced me to the Zelda franchise…

Both Kingdom

Hearts, as well as it’s GBA release, for it’s astounding story, gameplay, and parody

work…

Wild Arms 3/4 were games that brought me into the western

world…

Of course all Digimon Games, particularly 2 and 4.

The

.Hack series, including .Hack//G.U. (recently beaten

with all unlocked).

The Devil May Cry series around the PS2 is also a good

game combining usage of different ways to fight…

Chrono Cross, a game that

recieves a perfect 10 in many circles, was a grand game at it’s time and thereafter by having beautiful graphics

and a compelling story…

Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube is one of,

what I call, Finest Journey game, as it has so many things you can do (Learn new battle technics, participate in

many new fights and optional dungeons, recieve Grade in battles that you can later use to purchase options for a

New Game +)

The recent Final Fantasy works, specifically 7 and

Xenosaga 1 and 3, as 2 seemed to lose it’s

way.

Skies of Arcadia Legends for GC, airship fighting, bounty hunting, and

pirating, who wouldn’t want more?

Phantasy Star Online for PS2. Who would

not love to recieve TONS of rare items that you can show off and experience the thrill of treasure hunting. (A

Finest Journey)

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. A GREAT game that you can

play that offers a unique Inventing feature that allows you to create TONS of new items and modify your current

ones (A Finest Journey)

Currently working on the new Devil Summoner.

And yes, if you have not

guessed by now, I am the rare Mega-Gamer who DOES have a life :sunglasses:

I like Kingdom Hearts as well, although the second one isn’t as

fun to me… it just gets repetitive after a while because all the Disney stories turn out exactly how you expect

them to and all Sora does the entire game is ask for Riku and go, “Organization XIII?!?!?”

I

also love Super Smash Bros., a classic indeed.

Guitar Hero is really fun. I

totally own at it but I can only play it at friends’ houses… :frowning:

For computer, I used to play

Sims2 a lot. It is so incredibly amazing and so much better and cooler than the

first. There is a lot more to do in the second game, so I would say that it is definately worth buying for a

second time (I only had Sims1 for about a year before getting the second…).

I really want a Wii though

and play Trauma Center…

I don’t

really have many video games. My Game Boy Advance SP (it’s dated, I know) broke a while back, so I’ll have to

replace it. I was thinking along the lines of Playstation 3, but I’ll definitely have to save my money.

lol

have u guys played MapleStory? played it for a while. it was fun.

Sammeh - That’s my problem as well, concerning the Sims 2 game – darn thing

won’t load on my family’s computer because the graphics card isn’t “upgraded” enough. If I had one

more megabite…it would work. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Star Swordsman - I also have

The Incredibles game for PlayStation2, and it’s actually quite fun. It took me

forever to beat, though, and that first showdown with the Omnidroid drove me nuts. :unamused: (snigger)

Nexas - Wow – that’s quite a list. Your last sentence made me chuckle.

(heheh)

Strictly speaking, I don’t play computer or video games as much as I used

to. I’m more of a book reader, and would rather spend my time learning than blowing up things on a television

screen – heh. But other than that, I love games. I also forgot to mention that I absolutely

love the original Rollercoaster Tycoon and

Zoo Tycoon. I remember I felt horrible when I accidentally drowned one of the people

in the former game. :stuck_out_tongue:

It didn’t take me

really long to beat. But I have been practicing everylevels and now, I can beat Violet/Helen’s levels w/o any

problems/damage.

I’m not a

serious gamer, so that might explain my lack of patience when I can’t get past a certain point in a video game.

Then I just quit and move on. :stuck_out_tongue:
I have the SNES, N64, GameCube, and PS2, but not a very impressive list of

games. Mostly I just stick to the Mario games and anything else that’s NOT an RPG (tried playing my sister’s

Zelda game for the GC and got tired after five minutes. Not my thing.) Super Mario Sunshine was my cup o’ tea,

definitely, but once I beat Bowser I didn’t bother collecting the rest of the Shine Sprites. I’m the laziest

gamer known to man!

Mario Galaxy and Smash Brothers Brawl are the two sole reasons that compell me to

purchase the Wii.

P.S: I know this game is super outdated, but does anyone own the Monsters, Inc. Scream

Arena for GameCube?

Lets see , i’m a fan of computer , ps2 , and Nintendo DS

games , so I guess I’ll put them in order by system .

Computer

The

Sims : Mine has Deluxe Edition(includes Livin’ Large) , Unleashed , and Makin’ Magic
Zoo Tycoon : I just got

it or x-mas and my zoo’s already broke . lol . Includes Marine Mania and Dinosaur Digs . And Mitch , don’t feel

bad , I always drown the people in both of those Tycoon games when I’m bored or when they vex (tick off) me .

 lol

Nintendo DS

Finding Nemo : Escape to the Big Blue - I

finally saved Gill ! That darn ‘Peir Pressure’ mini game took forever to beat . Unfortunately , every time I

try to play Nemo’s ‘Block Pile-up’ the game freezes . :frowning:

Playstation 2

Neopet’s The Darkest Faerie : I’m still on Act One , but who cares , I like it

.

Nicktoon’s Unite : Still haven’t beat it yet . I’m sorry to say that I’m only on Spongebob’s world

(Level 2)

Kingdom Hearts 2 : This game rocks ! I got it for x-mas this year , so I’m still with Roxas ,

but I enjoy it .

Cars : I’m , like , addicted to this game ! I finally got my controllers back , and I

beat the Rustbucket ( which was hard since I can’t see through Mater’s big head ) and those annoying Ornament

Valley losers . I was laughing when Lightning made fun of the guys accent . " So I’m guessing that would be

’ you’s guys ’ " . Hee Hee !

On the computer, I just play all the different Sims games. I’m not a big computer gamer, but

the Sims is just great on the computer, as is RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 (although I haven’t played it in a while).

Apart from that, all I’ve got are the MI arcade games.

For the PS2, I’ve got a lot of platform games. My

favourite series of games of all time, though, are the Rayman games. Rayman Raving Rabbids is probably THE most

insane game ever. Seriously.

I also like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Tomb Raider- all those kinds

of games.

Super Smash Bros Melee is the game where I am completely dominant in. I can kick anybody’s

can using my best characters: Mario, Link, Marth.

The Kingdom Hearts games are awesome- except for Chain of Memories for GBA- I

have it and it gets rather obnoxious, with cards and all … But I highly recommend the first 2- the storyline’s

good and the worlds are a lot of fun. Plus I enjoy battling, but only with Donald and Goofy by my side.

^^

Lol, I dunno why it was dino genesis. Mine ceases to work- I’m waiting for one of those scratch

sealants if we’ll ever get any … I don’t recall any levels though- for PS2 they just throw you onto flat land

and you’ve gotta start your park from scratch with the money they give you, and fill cages with the 2 dino

species they give you. I usually fail in the beginning because I end up spending too much and eventually going

into debt really quick.
The one thing I always hated was the tornadoes. Mountains couldn’t stop those

buggers! And I’d always get money back by following the thing and deleting fences so I wouldn’t have to pay the

full price later on. I always had to keep a watch out for tornado season because the stupid tourists are so slow

and it takes them forever to reach the visitors’ shelters and/or leave. =P

The Star Swordsman-
Oh really now? I must say I’m pretty

awesome with the Smash Bros. too with my signature character, Pikachu. Yeah. That’s right. I love

playing with friends and totally owning them with that little ball of yellow

love.

Mitch-
The Kingdom Hearts games are Role Playing Games where you

“make your own decisions”. Ahem. Of course, mainly there is one course to the game but you somewhat

choose your destiny at the beginning when you choose your weapon. Most of it is battle which is the part I enjoy

most. I like Kingdom Hearts over Final Fantasy because with Kingdom Hearts it is basically button smashing and

keyblade (your weapon) thwaking. You would probably also enjoy the fact that it is mainly Disney based and

combines the stories of several Disney movies with the story of the main character, Sora. It is an overall very

entertaining game, although I found the first one much more exciting.

A Super Smash Brothers…nearly forgot that one. A joyful game I must admit.

Unlocked all stages and characters, and given the fact I can’t purchase any more with coins, all trophies

available.

Scream Arena? Yep got it. Beat it with Randall, who’s actually one of the best in it given his

slim build and fast feet heh.

Being a Kingdom Hearts master (all extras and maxed stats), I’ll give my

two cents.
Kingdom Hearts can be considered a footstep in interactive gaming. The mix of Squaresoft, the

master of RPG making, and Disney, masters of…ermm…Disney, fused together in a game that had at first gained

controversy, but proved to be one of the best games of it’s century.

Not really "make your

own", as it is a sorta “insertion”. As you play the Keybearer and enter different worlds,

affecting the story yourself, as well with the back plot involving heartless-creatures, the

Heartless.

Recently in Kingdom Hearts 2, the story was able to go more Square’s way into a more darker

plot.
I would reccommend it for anybody.

Ah…a fact to Kingdom Hearters, this means you FONY heh,

the Japan division had take Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, the original KH with extras, for Japan

Only…
BUT…they have SO gracefully accepted the fact and is BRINGING KINGDOM HEARTS 2 FINAL MIX TO THE

U.S.!

NOT only will it be Kingdom Hearts 2 with extras, BUT it will ALSO include a FULL 3-D Version of

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories on a second disk!
Meaning two games in one.

Coming March of 2007.

I noticed that Kingdom Hearts uses Disney characters. Do

you think in a Kingdom Hearts 3, they will have an all Pixar theme?

I have gathered information concerning the next Kingdom Hearts release and here’s a

bit:

There will not be a Kingdom Hearts 3. Not saying there never will be, as the creator himself had

stated no sequel at the current time.
The third will be a prequel that explains the second’s antagonist,

Xehanort, and the secrets of himself and the Keyblade War.

From the info I have obtained it IS possible

that the worlds of Pixar could be included.
Seeing as this is a past-Kingdom Hearts, it would be an

interesting turn of events (Present-Disney Past-Pixar).
