Alright, time for a new update ! First, we’ve got the updated version of Violet sitting in her room. But it turned out, when I redid it, it didn’t look that much different. But if you could compare them side-by-side, you could see it. I just made it darker…
Second, we’ve got my guilty pleasure, a random picture of violet . This was partly inspired by me and my Papa. Papa’s got this Lazy-Boy, and it’s his favorite chair. And I tend to be a sloucher, so there you have it . This is another “open to interpretation” pic. I was just reminded of those day where, you’ve had enough, forget everything else, and plop yourself down wherever.
And last but not least (I can’t believe I didn’t post thing in my art thread already!), the last dress for Violet. I posted the others previously, but for some reason, I never did this one. I’m not as proud of this one as the others, though. I was kinda rushing… Let me know what you think, please.

Ah, Violet Parr! Welcome back! I’m glad you posted these. Anytime I see your artwork, it totally makes my day. BUt enough about me, it’s time for my review on your artwork.
I’ll start with VIolet in the dark room. I noticed that it did look a lot darker than usuall. Very nice.
Violet in the la-z chair is my favorite one. It’s kinda wierd that Violet is relaxing in her super suit, but it still looks really nice. Looks like VIolet had a long day, and wants to chill by watching her favorite TV show.
And the last one, Violet looks so beautiful in that dress. But I have to admit that the color of her dress kinda matches her skin color, so if I didn’'t know any better, I would think that VIolet isn’t wearing anything. But still, when I get past that, she looks really stunning.

Actually, it’s the reverse. I like complicated pieces that leave things open to interpretation. By complicated, I don’t mean that it has to be drawn in detail or look professional or anything. I mean a character depicted in such a way that makes you excited or curious to find out more, what he/she is thinking, where he/she comes from, etc. Better if it’s in a ‘cool’ pose or an interesting situation. Not much a fan of kitschy stuff trying to garner adoration or sympathy. Unless it’s done with absolute confidence or I happen to like the character enough to overlook the ‘aw-ain’t-that-cute’ factor.
Sorry if I sound like I’m rambling, it’s just my personal taste. 
But like I said, I really like the aesthetics of that piece, just not the content so much.

Well, like you said, not much difference in your updated piece, but I’ll reiterate that I like the whole moody atmosphere of it, and how it makes you wonder what Violet’s feeling so down about.
The La-Z Boy pic is also great! You can see how emotionally-drained and jaded Violet looks, like she just had a really rough day. The pose is great, how her back is sunk into the chair, and her squinty-eyes watching the telly in ambivalence. That’s good ‘storytelling’, and I love its subtlety.
Wow, Violet’s wearing Nude (it’s a fashion colour that mimics skin tone by the way)! I love the little diamond bits on her top and the necklace she’s wearing. You’ve got great fashion sense, any chance of you trying out some apparel for Bob or Helen?

Well, since that last one wasn’t much, let me give ya another small update:
I guess it’s about time I let it out of the bag, me and Phileas are working on a fic together. You may have heard me talking about a fic if you were in the chat room with me a little while ago. Well, this was the unnamed fic. It’s about The Incredibles some odd years in the future (I forget exactly how many, but it takes place in the mid 70’s.). Vigilanteism is illegal, and the Government’s been cracking down on the supers hard, way too hard. Violet’s gone vigilante, and teemed up with a rag-tag team of other “masks,” as Rorschach would call them (don’t worry, it’s not a cross-over). The storyline’s mostly set, but we’re still in the early stages of writing. But I got the green flag from Phileas to go ahead and post some work (if I remember incorrectly, I’m so sorry Phileas, and you can kick my butt later …).
So, just to give ya a taste of the fic, here’s a little pic I did of Violet in her new suit.
And this is another one of our charters who, I’m pretty sure, will be like Violet in the original story. I gotta give major props to the “Phil-Man” for helping develop her character to be so oddly likable. She’ll steal hearts pretty quickly. The pic’s not done yet, but I thought it was worthy of posting for now. I did it over one of our vacation pictures (you can see some of the original photo at the legs).

So it’ll probably still be a while. And yep, the werewolf will be in the vigilante fic, and if we choose to make spin-offs, she’ll probably be in those (depending on what part of the time frame they take place). (No, I’ve not seen Twilight; it’s not a rip-off.) But I can’t tell you too much more about her just yet. Sorry. Thanks again so much!
