Violet's art work

Hello again, guys  ! How’ve ya been? Anyway, I’ve got some more work for ya  !

OHMYGOSH!!! I can’t believe I missed uploading this on Halloween!! :`-( !!! Aw, shucks! Oh well. Anyway, I decided, that if I Get to dress up on Halloween, so should Violet. So I dressed her up as Abby Sciuto from NCIS. I LOVE this picture! She looks so cute in Abby’s cloths! The boots are my favorite, though. So Abby.

This is a collection of sketches that I did over time. My favorites are the one of Bob holding Violet, and the one of Violet landed on her bottom in the lower right-hand corner. I think I’m most proud of that one. I think I’m getting better at mud sketches  !

Thanks, guys! And God Bless!

Until next time,
–Violet Parr~

Aw, I like the ones where he holds her, too. <3 Is she injured? :`-(

Thanks, Virginia  ! If you haven’t taken notice, I’m a major sucker for Vi/Dad moments <3 . Well, a little, but not badly. It’s actually a shot from TSS’s newest fanfic, when they were at the harbor and Violet got hit but one of the androids. But she’ll be okay  . Thank you so much!

Ah, okay. That’s a relief. XD

Yeah, we don’t wanna see her hurt. We need her to help keep the world safe  . Thanks again  !

Oh, and BTW, I’ve got another comic strip coming up  . This one’s kind of a tribute to geekdom. And some other projects I intend to finish…

Hey Violet. I know you missed reading my comments to your artwork. Well here you go.

Your artwork must be like therapy. i swear. After being whalloped with exams, finals, college, essays, and powerpoints, just seeing your incredibles Incredibles artwork makes me really happy inside. YOu are without a doubt one of the best artists here on Pixar Planet. Dude, you should seriously consider working for Pixar. Or better yet, Pixar should consider hiring you.

I noticed there are some pics on your DA account that you haven’t posted here yet. Is that a choice or shall we see them in the future?

Thanks, TSS  ! Thank you so much… That’s… that’s a real compliment. Thank you. I’m glad my art can be an uplifter to you  ! And, as for the DA art, that’s just a random thing. No particular reason for posting art there and not here. Thank you again!

Here’s my little Merry Christmas to you all. I did this a while ago, but I wanted to save it for Christmas. So, here you go…

I love this sketch. I’m not all that satisfied with Violet’s face, so I’d love some critique on that please. But, other than that, I’m more than happy with it  . I wasn’t gonna do a full background (as I’ve said before, I don’t really like to do them), but I thought it would look strange without one. I’m actually very proud of how it turned out, and oddly enough I enjoyed doing it. This is one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever done  .

This one is one of the pictures TSS is talking about. I have this on DA already. This is a really old picture. It kinda was an idea I came up with soon after the movie came out that I didn’t place in a fic just yet. The idea is pretty clear. Violet’s getting over exausted from holding a force field up against some unnamed, unknown enemy force. This is baced off of the conclusion to the final battle in the Fantastic Four. I use the picture of her right before the Omnidroid came down on her field as a reference.

Thanks for everything, guys  ! Merry Christmas, and God Bless!

Absolutely amazing! Holy cow, it looks just so awesome! I really like it VIolet Parr. Very incredible job with the reference picture. She looks like in deep trouble. Very nicely done. Keep it up.

And I love the Christmas picture. Just in time for the holidays too. It always warms my heart when I see it.

I can’t wait for more stuff from you.

Ah, I have missed looking at your artwork! I’ve gone through and looked at all the drawings you’ve posted since I lasted visited the forums. You keep getting better and better! Excellent stuff! You have quite the talent, my friend!

Thank you both so much  ! I really appreciate it! I’m glad I’m still improving! Here’s my next update  .

Okay, so I know I’m probably gonna get a little bit of guff for making Violet look so sickly, but please here me out. This picture was done only to emphasize her thinness. Truth is, her proportions are supposed to be the same as in the movie. As some of you may’ve heard me say, I do have a small story based on Violet having Anorexia (still need to rewrite that…). So I wanted to do a picture exaggerating how skinny she is, without changing her. I draped her T-shirt to emphasize her ribs, but not show them, and used baggy pants to set it off. I also practiced shading balancing in this, to not draw too much attention to any one part of the picture. Some constructive criticism would be great on this piece, please!

This next one’s another one of my “Two-in-the-Morning” Collages. Yes, I’m a night owl, and when I can’t sleep, this is what I do. I draw whatever it is in my heart. This started out as just a Father/Daughter sketch (another version of the sketch for TSS’s fanfic, actually; bit more dynamic). But I got a little… carried away. I just wanted to do a bunch of expressive sketches. The one in the middle left-hand side, where she looks angry, she’s supposed to be sticking her tongue out at her brother… :unamused: Siblings  . Again, constructive criticism welcome  !

God Bless! Happy New-Year! And I hope you enjoyed!

Jaw dropping Vi. Absoultely jaw-dropping. I loved both pics. THe first one was very powerful, exploring Violet’s skinniness. You know, the movie has been out for about six years. And even though VIolet doesn’t age, I do. And still, even six years later, I’m stunned by her adorableness. And you certainly brought it out.

The other sketch really surprised me. I’m honored that I inspired this. I probably forgot the chapter and the story from where it came from, but I can tell that you did a really incredible job with it. Keep it up Vi.

Both are great, but I really like the first one! As always, I’m very impressed with her hair! You are a fantastic artist!

TSS- Thank you  ! I’m glad you thought it was powerful. That was my point, to show how destructive Anorexia can be. But I also want it to tug at your heart, to make you feel like you just wanna go up and hug her and tell her it’s okay. So I hope I accomplished that as well. And as for the second one, that was inspired by your New Threat fic, the part where Bob carries Violet away from the harbor. And, hey, that’s what happens when You’re an awesome writer! You inspire people. Thank you for that!

ellie- Thanks! I love doing her hair! But I think I gave her a Hair cut  … But that’s okay. I’ve wanted to experiment with different lengths for her  . And thanks for saying I’m a fantastic artist! I really appreciate that!

Now, if I may ask you both, what was you favorite Violet from the second picture?

Okay, I think it’s time for an update  .

This one is another one of my Bob/Violet moments. A four-year-old Violet comes to her dad in the middle of the night for comfort because she had a bad dream. To be honest, though, I’m disappointed with the whole presentation of the idea. To me, Bob looks too intimidating, Violet looks too scared, the coloring cold be better, and I don’t think I should’ve done it in comic style. But, that’s just my opinion. Please, let me know what you think!

My favorite Violet on the second Violet drawing, is the one on the bottom of the page where she’s sleeping. I always have issues with drawing sleeping figures, so I’m jealous of you!

As for your 4 Year old Violet, I really like it! I don’t think that Bob looks intimidating, or that Violet looks too scared. It’s such a cute idea, and Violet is cute as well. But the one thing about it that bothers me is the door/window behind Violet, it just looks like there’s no wall there, but maybe that’s just me? Anyway, I loves it!

Hey Violet Parr. You want me honest opinion about this? Okay, here is what I think.

I hope you don’t mind. Bob Parr first. This imght be me, but I do see what you mean by him looking intimidating, and Voilet looking scared. Granted, Bob is Mr. incredible, so that explains his giant stature. And Violet Parr just had a bad dream. She does have a reason to look scared. She’s four years old. I would imagine she would be tiny for a four year old. I mean, she’s 4’5/4’6 for a 13-14 year old. So i gues it doesn’t surprise me that Violet looks kind of tiny. i guess it call comes down to a person’s perspective.

But here is something I think you would like to hear. This artwork really hit me in the sensitive spot. Violet is, in my opinon, one of Pixar’s most adorable characters. And to see her as little kid just makes her even cuter. I’m going to tell you somehting. This picture is exactly how I imagined Violet Parr would look like as a four-year-old. You are very good VIolet Parr. You are arguably the one of the Best Incredibles artists on Pixar planet… maybe in the entire internet! you should be proud of this Vi.

If you were going to do this as a comic strip, how would you plan doing this? Start of in Vi’s dream, then having her wake up her parents? Or start with Vi waking up her parents following with Bob comforting her daughter? I’d like to see it. But it’s up to you.

PS: Nice job with the background of the hallway. I like it.

Aww!! Little Vi’s so cute!!! For some reason(even though I haven’t seen Tangled), she reminds me of little Rapunzel. <3 That’s one of my favorites of yours.

I think you hit the nail on the head with Little Violet, Vi! I think that her personality would have started to show - being all timid, shy and all - and I can totally empathise with Violet with this pic. Great job, as always! Keep it up!

Violet Parr, I think you’re one of the most talented artists on this forum. I mean it.

I don’t have anything to criticise about your latest pieces. Love the colour, the angle, I don’t think Bob is intimidating or Violet is scared of him, you’re adapt at pencil shading and marker colouring.

Just keep up the awesome job.

Hey, Guys! I’m Ba-ack  ! I’m trying, okay? Please… bare with me here…

ellie- Thanks for answering my question and the compliment! I love drawing people (especially Violet) sleeping. It’s just sheer innocence. And as for the sliding glass door, I see what you mean, maybe I should’ve added a glass effect, or something. It’s live-and-learn. Thanks a lot  .

TSS- Okay, first off… I’m flattered   ! Thank you so much… I didn’t expect a compliment like “Best TI artist on PP,” let alone possibly the whole net, any time soon. So, massive thanks. And thank you for your honesty. I really do appreciate it. And thank you for the compliments. I think, for some reason, Violet is easy to imagine a lot younger and littler, so a lot of people seem to have the same ideas. And, when I said comic style, I mean the way I drew it. I actually didn’t intend on continuing it. And I’ve got so many unfinished works… I gotta do them first. I probably won’t continue this idea, though. Sorry. But thank you so much for the compliments. And I’m glad you like the hall way. Usually, I hate drawing backgrounds. That’s way all the characters are floating in space :unamused:

Virginia- Thank you so much  ! And I also see how she kinda looks like little Rapunzel. Glad you liked this one  !

Phileas- Thanks, man  . It makes me feel good that you can feel for Violet here. And, yeah, her personality probably would’ve started rounding out. Thank you!

TDIT- Thanks a million! Really?.. Oh, man… I think I just turned invisible  … Two compliments like that in a row? Thanks  … And thanks for the comments about the pic. Heh, and here I thought the coloring was lousy. Thank you!

Well, after my long (and excuseless) absence, I’m gonna give you all something new. Now, I gotta say, I think since my last scanning session, I’ve improved a lot. But most of that work, I don’t have in my comp just yet. So I’m gonna find some good stuff that’s already scanned…

Okay, so this one was entirely indulgent on my part. A helpless Violet, her Dad coming to the rescue, and yes, sheerly for my entertainment. It could be matched up with a couple different things of mine, but basically it’s just Bob. holding Violet. all wrapped up in a blanket. Yeah, I’m a total sucker for those Father/Daughter moments <3 . Personally, I’d love to see a drawing like this from someone else for a change… And the little words scribbled up in the corner were just me trying to remember a song.

This one was partly inspired by the song “Take It Off” by Ke$ha. “Everybody breaking bottles, it’s a flipping hot mess.” For a while, that was one of my favorite songs. And for a long time, I’ve had the idea of a rebellious Violet, going out partying with her friends. I don’t think she’d get herself really in trouble, but I think she’d make sure she had a wicked good time  . This was also part of my Neon-Gothic phase, which I’m still not entirely rid of, and don’t intend to be anytime soon. And the sketches at the bottom were other possible posses I thought of using, but decided to opt out on.

Okay, so I’m dieing to put up some new stuff, so I’ll give ya a picture with this one. Sorry for the poor quality.

This one is from the Incredibles comic series. now, before I go any further, it’s spoiler time…

[spoil]This is from my favorite issue of the Incredibles comic series. #3. When the Incredibles contracted the alien virus, it made the super powerful… It also make the incredibly ill. This is what happed to Violet. Her body and force fields became electromagnetically charged, and she gained strength in her fields. This piece is showing the up and down sides to the virus.[/spoil]

I gotta be honest, this was really fun to do. And I only know of one other fan art piece out there that was done for this issue. So I was glad to do it.

Heehee I like that, ‘Just Rootbeer’
