But would Vi really be the same with shorter hair?
Besides the pushing the limits theory, and the to match her personality theory,
Violet’s hair could also be genetic. Chances are some ancestor from either Elastigirl’s or Bob’s side of the
family had black or dark hair, which even if it’s not the next generation, that gene for dark hair could’ve
been recessive in either bob or helen. Thus giving Violet black/dark hair. (it sorta looks like it’s black with
purple highlights to me…)
The only problem with that is that Black is dominant while
Blonde is recessive so Bob can’t have any black genes at all and Helen must have at least one because of Dash’s
which means her other mus be dedicated to her dominent natural hair color which we know to be natural because it
matches Jack-Jack’s ![]()
They’re superheroes! They get to have any hair color they want! Duh. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Heheheh…
I’ve often wondered why Vi has black hair myself…I
don’t think she colors it, because in the original opening scene, it shows her as a baby, and she still has
black hair…It’s just for character design purposed, of course, but it?s fun to come up with theories any
way.
Maybe by the Magic of Pixar, VIolet
had black hair to begin with.
I found it wierd that
they tried many methods to animate her hair and it all didn’t turn out the way it should’ve been. After they
tried one method that they thought would never work, ironically, it did.
I got this from wikipedia.
