WALL•E coming to Blu-ray and DVD on November 18th

anyway, don’t buy the 3disc, i think you don’t need the digital copy… (who needs it? :unamused: )

I was going to buy WALL-E on iTunes, as well as on DVD, but now I won’t. :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for saving me $15.

So the difference between the US 2-disc and the US 3-disc is that the extra disc of the 3-disc version has the digital copy on it? Think I’ve asked that question before but hopefully that is the case.

The WALL•E press release is finaly out!!
Check out my article over at Upcoming Pixar for more info.

The press release has not yet been made public so feel free to ask questions about any of the features in the list.

At last!
So it seems that the “Geek-o-rama” will be also in the american edition, as easter egg.

yes, precisely.

Thanks, Martin - so looking forward to those extras already!

Ok, thanks Elikrotupos. =)

and i’ve just read in the table of contents that the “treasure & trinkets” featurette is a montage of the web vignettes! that’s great!! :smiley: I hope none will miss :angry:

Ooh, nice article, Martin. Getting even more excited about the release now! And I agree, Elikrotupos, they’d better include all of the web vignettes, as I’m pretty sure I’ve missed one or two. :laughing:

this report of the BBFC about the WALL-E british DVD/BD editions gives the lenght of EVERY feature on the discs.

The “treasures & trinkets” is 4:42 long. So… the vignettes are at least 15 (i wrote a list looong time ago :stuck_out_tongue:):

on YouTube official channel:
* WALL-E meets a vacuum (60’‘)
* WALL-E meets a magnet (22’‘)
* WALL-E meets a hula-hoop (22’‘)
* WALL-E meets headphones (22’‘)
* WALL-E meets a hydrant (22’‘)
* WALL-E meets bouncing balls (22’')

on MySpace official space:
* WALL-E meets a basket ball (08’‘)
* WALL-E meets a soccer ball (07’‘)
* WALL-E meets a camera (06’‘)
* WALL-E doing break-dance (10’‘)
* WALL-E meets a TV (06’‘)
* WALL-E meets cups (38’')

others:
* WALL-E and the baseball (08’‘)
* WALL-E, EVE and the baseball (06’‘)
* WALL-E meets a Wii (20’')

TOTAL: 272 seconds = 4:39
So they should all be on the DVD!

Will they have the vignettes that weren’t about wall-e? There’s one I saw on tv a few weeks ago where it starts up as a closeup of eve, then she flies back and spins about a bit or something (I can’t remember all of it, I only saw it once and remember that it was eve-centric).
I’ve also seen a similar one where MO tries to clean the screen.

oh, i’ve never seen those! I hope they’ll be on the dvd too.
Where they on a white&plain background like the WALL-E vignettes?

Yes. For all I know they might just have put it on Australian tv because we had to wait longer. All this makes me wonder if there will be any special Japanese-only vignettes when the get the movie.

the baseball vignettes were spots on brazilian tv, so i can’t see why they can’t put also the australian vignettes (the m-o vignette should be very funny :smiley:)

The M-O and EVE clips are probably the TV transitions that were played on The Wonderful World of Disney with Monsters, Inc.

i’ve just noticed that in the european version (from the list of bonus features on the BBFC site) should also have three exclusive making-ofs, which are not on the official press release about the american version:

  • Trash Planet (4:10)
  • WALL-E’s Truck Tour (3:29)
  • Go Live! - Pixar first live action shot (3:13)

I don’t know if these ones are included in another section of the american edition, or if they’re really a european exclusive.

and then… “Sneak Peek: WALL•E’s Tour of the Universe (US Only)Join WALL•E on his own private tour of the Universe through the World-Wide Telescope”.
Does anyone know what is the World-Wide Telescope, and what this sneak peek should be, and why is it US only?

Coo, thanks. I’ve now -reordered the Region 2.

Elikrotupos- WALL-E’s Tour of the Universe is a preview for Microsoft’s new virtual telescope feature.

The WALL-E site links to it too.
Edit: Look at these screencaps and pictures of the WALL-E 3 Disc DVD and the packaging.

thanks, martini! oh, the WorldWide Telescope sounds cool…

and the screencaps… wow… i can’t wait…

head explodes

Is it just me, or is their still no mention of an Up teaser…? I’ve seen the short clip of the guy’s house floating, but that’s it.
