omg! i want that notebook!
the stamps are pretty cool too!!
the costume looks pretty odd…
During my visit to Amsterdam, I happened to stumble into a cosmetics store (not for me; my sister wanted to go Razz) and they seemed to have a special where if you spent 15 Euros in the store, you get a free Wall•E school supply kit. It included the coolest stuff I had ever seen: Wall•E pencils, a pencil holder, an Eve stapler, Wall•E pencil sharpener, and quite a bit more I cannot remember. It would be awesome if someone could tell me what store this was, or if anyone can show me the set if they have it.
I really wish I would have gotten it now.
rachel - Dang it! You beat me to the WALL•E costume, rachel!
I saw that very piece of attire just a few minutes ago… while my mom and I were browsing the “Costume Express” magazine that we receive once a year (around Halloween). I laughed so hard, man. (snigger)
In any case, nice collection of merchandise! I’m lovin’ the French notebook. Why can’t the U.S. get cute stuff like that?
– Mitch
Mitch - Sorry! I really should leave some merchandise for you guys to post but I just can’t help myself. There are actually two versions of that costume. I don’t really know why, because I would have liked to have seen an EVE costume rather than an additional WALL•E one, but oh well.
Yeah, the French always get such classy merch. =)
That Wall-E costume is atrocious. Dang kids these days. They can’t color a box and use an old pair of binoculars to Wall-E themselves. They have to get some store-bought atrocity.
rachel - Ha-ha. No problem! I never post up any pictures of merchandise anyway, so it’s no big deal. And there’s two of them? Really? Huh. That’s odd. I would have thought they would have made an EVE costume instead, as well. Typical. I guess that shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. At that “Costume Express” site, I couldn’t find a Joker costume with the Batman set myself, sooo… shakes head
You said it.
Fett101 - Ha! Yeah, I agree. Kids used to have fun way back when…
– Mitch
Some people have posted up images of their home-made WALL•E costumes. I’ve yet to see one that was fantastic, though. All you really need is a cardboard box and some paint and sticky tape. Maybe if Pixar Planet ever has another Halloween costume contest… Hmmm.
About a month ago I was looking in my sister’s fridge and came across WALL•E chocolate tubs! I was all like “Why didn’t you tell me you had theeeeese?” And promptly went to the supermarket and bought some myself. And they were scrum-diddly-umtious!
Still no sign of WALL•E PEZ, though…
Here:
WALL-E and EVE PEZ dispensers seem to be only available in Europe according to the sites I visited.
haha those pez thigs are still out…wow
Martin - I have seen pictures of those PEZ before, but I’m not sure if they are sold here in Oz… I really want one since they are so cheap and they come with candy. Thank you for the picture, anyway.
Since I first laid eyes on the InterAction Wall-E, I’ve been waiting for it’s product release here, but just last week when I saw it in K Mart, it was twice the price I was expecting it to be! I had heard it was $30USD at Toys R Us in the US, but I saw it for $69 AUD here! Cries!
ilikepinatas - Yeah, it’s a lot more expensive than I thought it would be, too… I like the noises he makes (beep, boop, beeeep), and it interacts with EVE, too. When it first came out at K-Mart it was on special for about $50 or so. Wish I would have bought it then. I do have my eye on that plug-in video game if you’ve seen it. It looks cool and '80s. My sister wants me to go halves with her to get the really expensive WALL•E that’s coming out in the US later on in the year, if it ever gets released in Oz, that is.
I’m not sure if you guys have anything similar, but at several different times during the year a big, travelling fair called the “Royal Show” goes to the capital cities around Australia. One of the big drawcards and reasons why people go to the “Show” is showbags. A showbag can be based on anything: chocolate, football, a radio station, a TV show or movie etc
Here’s the WALL•E showbag:
Contents: EVE plush, rubix cube, glow in the dark stickers, EVE rocket launcher, claw thing, backpack.
You choose between either a WALL•E plush, EVE plush, or activity set as your “extra.”. I chose the EVE plush since the WALL•E one looked kind of weird, and with EVE’s simple design it looks better. Usually you’d get all of this stuff in a plastic bag with a design relating to the contents, but all of this stuff just got put in the backpack. This showbag was $25, and was one of the most expensive of the show, but a lot of thought went into it, like with the rubix cube and the glow stickers that even feature the Axiom, which often gets overlooked.
rachel - I take it that this “Royal Show” you mentioned is something like a traveling street shop, am I right? How interesting. We have something like that that comes around our area once a year (usually during the fall season) – it’s a street fair that’s set up… in the street, hence the name. It sounds as if Australia’s version of the fair is more complex and interesting, though. You guys get all the good stuff.
The backpack and goodies that you purchased are adorable! I’m itching to get my hands on a similar-looking EVE rocket launcher, and the “claw thing” could come in handy as well. It was $25.00 bucks for the whole thing? Not bad. That’s cool that you found such a neat collection!
– Mitch
rachel - Ohh, so it’s almost like a county fair then, only more elaborate? That’s awesome! I’ve always wanted to attend one of those. If I ever do take a trip I’ll try to remember to check it out.
No problem, and thank you for the link! I might check out those pictures.

pencil case??? hmmm…does that apply with wii versions?
Here’s a picture of the free pencil case. I really like it, because I like anything that displays the WALL•E logo prominently on any merchandise.
Al-bob - I don’t think that offer stands in the US Targets, but I’m pretty sure the offer down here is extended to every version of the game.
So just 5 days ago was my birthday, and my loving family finally got us all together for cake. How random of a time to have cake? It was 8 PM on a weekday. I trotted down to the dinner table, and BAM! Wall-e Cake. It was a beautiful sight:
It blew me away! And it was some good cake too!
It came with those two figures. I am actually very shocked to see the detail they actually put in those toppers. Usually they are total junk and pieces of plastic that make no use other than barely functional paperweights, but these were actually poseable! Okay, I have to admit that the EVE was way too simple, but then again, they couldnt really do anything else to her.
What I REALLY REALLY love about this Wall-e cake topper figure though, is that his arms actually can slide across the “track” as visible in the movie. They can’t go down, but that doesn’t really bother me. His head also slides forwards and backwards, and twists into positions. His color’s kind of off, but that’s not a problem either.
I thank my sister for picking this cake out for me; she told me how silly she felt for getting this cake for a 16 year old, but hey, I totally love it!

GASP!! That is the most AWESOME-EST cake ever!! Happy Belated Birthday Directive! I wish I had a Wall-E cake! But then again, my birthday was months ago and Wall-E technically hasn’t even been release here yet. So awesome!
Man I want that showbag! But I haven’t been to the show in years! I get carsick, so unfortunately I’m not really a ride person so showbags have always been the highlight for me! I guess I’ll have to call around to see if anyone can pick up that showbag for me next week! And I really want that Rubik’s cube! My one’s really worn out now, so I’ve been looking to buy a new one! Score!(=
I also saw InterAction Wall-E at Target yesterday! I want to buy it so bad, but unfortunately fathers day has eaten through my purse! My brother keeps reassuring me that the price will go down once the movie comes out and the craze is over, but the question is can I last that long?!
directive- That’s the best birthday cake ever. And the frosting looks very yummy.
rachel - Hmm. Well, I might check out both eBay websites – both the U.S. and Australian versions – so as to see if I can acquire that pencil case at a fairly cheap price. I really like the look of the thing and, although there’s no guarantee that I’ll purchase it, I would love to add it to my art collection.
Thanks for the information!
directive - Dude, look at that! How awesome can you get?! That was very nice of your sister to pick out that cake for you. It looks delicious, and the toys almost look collectible. Neat, man!
ilikepinatas - Not to get off the subject, but, I thought that that’s a cool way to address people, with the arrows (>>) proceeding before the username.
