I better make sure that I get that cake for my little brothers 6th birthday.
that is an awesome cake!
i really want that pencil case tho! i like the “tube” design.
That cake is awesome, directive! That EVE topper looks better than the Thinkway Toys figure. Don’t worry about getting a WALL•E cake at 16 years old! I’d love to have that cake! If only my family were more understanding of my Pixar obsession…
Just saw a really nice Wall-E placemat at the DollarTree store for only $1!
I don’t know how to attach a small JPEG (can someone tell me if it’s possible?) so I’ll put a link to someone else selling them on ebay for $5
(disclaimer: I have nothing to do with this):
cgi.ebay.com/Disney’s-WALL-E-Kid … 2009r36733
(above URL isn’t hyperlinking right, just buffer-capture it and put it in your browser window).
I suppose $5 isn’t too bad because that includes shipping, but if anyone’s near a Dollar Tree store, at least the one I went into yesterday, they were selling these for $1. Normally I wouldn’t buy something like this, but they do look really nice in person (better than in the photo).
On another note, I was around the El Capitan theatre in Hollywood last week, and stopped to look in the gift shop there. Much of the Wall-E stuff had been taken away to make room for Princess stuff. But a few things were still left (didn’t buy anything).
But hey, how do you upload JPEGs here on the board so in the future I can just upload a small picture of it instead of including a link to a seller?
There’s no attachments at this board so you have to upload to another site like imageshack.us/ and link to that.
miafka - I’ve seen that placemat on the Disney Shopping site, but yeah, US$1 is a really good price! Dollar Tree Store? What a weird name… Heh.
Speaking of Disney Shopping… Ultimate WALL•E is available to pre-order. Not sure if this is late news since I’ve only just noticed it, but here’s the info anyway:

It doesn’t say if it will interact with the Interaction WALL•E or EVE, though… I hope it comes to Australia, but I think the cheaper version will do for me. Yay, working treads! Won’t cats just love this toy? What would be really great is if he could transform into a cube.
Yes, I couldn’t believe it either. I went into the Chicago D-store today, and had to stop, as there on the shelf were ‘Disney Store Exclusive’ figures, and the little plastic figures set like we’ve seen for other films like ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Bambi.’
The Disney exclusive figures claim to be die-cast, though the figures feels sadly like a step down from the Thinkway Toys figures I have. Wall-E may be metal, but his yellow-orange coloration looks more orange, and the treads on him are stationary with little wheels on the bottom of the treads to make him roll.
Personally, these toys feel like a step backwards given the sculpting and coloring done on the exclusives for ‘Cars’ and ‘Ratatouille.’
If I can, next time I’ll get pictures. Also, the adult Tshirts were marked down to $5…but I still feel kind of unsure about wearing a shirt with BnL’s logo.
I’m so disapointed that they haven’t created an Ultimate Wall-E, not a talking one with a remote (a remote for Wall-E, tsssss…), but a real Wall-E, made of metal, with his scratches, with the arms moving like the real one and and and… in a word, a toy close to the Wall-E we loved
(the better I’ve found is Transforming Wall-E, but the arms don’t move down, and his wheels are different :/)
actually, they have! I think they made a life-size one for Disneyland/world parades and such. here’s a youtube vid of him:
youtube.com/watch?v=As7UQtKX00c
technically, he has a remote to make him say phrases and wheel him around, but I still think he’s awesome!
I’ve already seen this video, but I’m almost sure that it cannot transform into cube, and it’s the most important point to me ! ^^
Walleuse - If WALL•E didn’t have a remote, how would you control him? You mean, they should make a thinking WALL•E, one that controls himself? I don’t think any of the better WALL•E animatronics turn into a cube due to all the electronic stuff that might get squashed inside. Maybe in the future they would have the technology to make him do that.
Here are a few new plushies!
22 inch “deluxe plushies” from Disney Shopping (and Disney Stores too, I presume.) Not sure how exactly they differ from the other plushies, and at each US$39.99 each, you’d think they would do something spectacular instead of just sit there. Love that little plant logo on EVE, though. WALL•E looks weird. He’s always hard to get right in plushie form.
Cuddle ‘n’ Glow EVE <3 I LOVE this one. Her eyes glow… I think it’s sold in some Spanish-speaking country and it’s pretty expensive and rare (not sure if there is a WALL•E version.)
Here are a couple of plushies I picked up myself at the aforementioned Royal Show.
Usually we get the short end of the stick when it comes to plushes in Australia, but the EVE one actually isn’t that bad. Her version does something I have never seen in another EVE plush before: her head and arms stay in one place with velcro, and then you can take them off, like she does in the movie when [spoil]she powers up.[/spoil] A really neat idea and the quality of EVE’s fabric is very nice. Would have liked her little logo on the chest to top it all off, but oh well.
They can just never seem to get WALL•E right, though… I had trouble going through the container trying to find one where his eyes looked ok. But the cool thing about him is his front/garbage compactor thingy actually opens and closes with velcro. Never seen that on a WALL•E plush before, either.
They also had bigger versions of the above ones, and by the last day of The Show the WALL•E one had sold out. I wasn’t planning on buying the big one, but it’s good to know that WALL•E was popular enough to sell out even before the movie was officially released. Have any other Aussies seen those two plushes at Toys R Us yet? I haven’t had a chance to go there and check myself.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this WALL•E plushie update!
Rachel - Cute plushies, Rachel! The WALL•E ones kind of freak me out, but the EVE toys are cute. I especially like the first two pictures/plushies displayed.
Ha-ha. It says “Starwar88” on the box with EVE in it. Star Wars reference…?

Rachel, I don’t want a talking or controlable Wall-E, just one who has the apparence of Wall-E. So no need to have electronic stuff, just has to be as functionable and esthetic as the original
Pixar was very convincing when turning WALL-E into a cube but in reality, it was a cheat. So if there was a toy WALL-E that transformed, either the head, body or treads would be off scale.
A cheat if he has all electronic equipement to be animed, but without that, it’s totally possible.
It’s been stated before that it’s a complete cheat, his treads are almost the size of his body. In an interview the animators said his face would be crushed in there, but that was a risk Pixar took to make WALL-E’s design work, and that the audience wouldn’t notice.
From the article:
As WALL•E boxes and unboxes, the geometry collapses and uncollapses, stacking in planes inside and expanding to full geometry on the outside.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a toy like that, the first thing I thought after seeing the WALL-E trailer (after I said it was awesome and I couldn’t wait) was that it would make a cool transforming toy, Unfortunately there wil have to be compromises if that ever happens.
That’s Pixar magic for ya’!
I don’t believe you !
If Wall-E retrieve the caoutchouc around his wheels, and compact this wheels into a rectangle, it’s possible !
Doooon’t break my innoceeeence !
I’m so impatient to have the DVD for watching the scenes in slow motion, yeah I know, I’m crazy
PS : great link, thanks for it, even if I’m going to spend a lot of time to understand all of it
I don’t believe you !
You better believe it. That info is straight from Pixar!
