I feel so jipped that WALL•E can’t actually turn into a cube… After learning this fact I took a closer look at the Transforming WALL•E toy and yeah, his treads are actually a lot smaller than in the movie.
It would have been cool for Disney to release a plush of the Captain since his soft body would have translated well into a plush. And a hovering EVE, powered by a plastic fan. And a cup that makes a “solar panel” go up and down if there is a cold liquid in it.
Thanks for the pictures, daftks! That WALL•E pasta looks very yummy - what is the pasta in the shape of? And kitchen towels - what next? Look at the design, though, so cute! =)
Not a problem, it was an absolute pleasure to share!
The pasta shapes consists of WALL•E, Eve, planets…and something that I can’t quite make out…
When I cook them, I’ll upload another picture! I wonder if there is WALL•E pasta sauce…
Wall-E Pasta?! That’s awesome!(= Oh I want all the promotional items! They’re so awesome!!
I really love the Zippo lighter! I don’t smoke, but I think it’s really cute and meticulous that they’ve even got Wall-E tracks on the body of the lighter! Amazing!
Naw, I believe them, but I find it odd. I mean, I have a poster over here, and the dimentions look like it would be a tight fit, but the treads could fit in there.
But anyways, pasta! Neat! Oh, and the lighter was only given to people who worked on the film from what I’ve heard. I talked to somebody who worked on lighting for it who had one and drew it for practise.
No, she doesn’t float. I’m guessing that there are little wheels and the clear thing on the bottom gives the illusion of her floating. This probably won’t come to Australia, but I really want one so my U-Command WALL•E and EVE can “dance” together.
Some family members and I also had the idea of Disney releasing a “hovering” EVE where her body was made of a lightweight material (such as foam) and down the bottom of her body was a plastic fan, but it was hidden and you could control it by remote. Would have been cool.
Ah, that’s a shame. But it still looks incredibly cool. I wish I had spare money to spend on this sort of thing!
The thing is, EVE’s design is quite top-heavy by the looks of her, so I can see why it would be difficult to make a toy that floats. But it would still be awesome.
I’m sure you’ve all heard of the “Crying Wall-E Girl”. If not, just search her up on YouTube or Google. Anyway, I read her blog and then saw her Flickr stream (both worth a look!) when I came across the last picture in her trip album.
Chocolate EVEs! I laughed out loud when I first saw them because they were so adorable, and all the miniature EVE’s eyes were closed in a ‘smile’, all begging to be eaten! Granted, they’re were a one-off limited edition only available to her, but I wish they sold this in stores, or at least as a special request on the L.A. Burdick website. That would be so awesome!
I can see it now…a whole box of those little white droids sitting in my fridge, faces frozen in an eternal cheery smile, all blissfully unaware of their short, miserable existence, as I pop them one by one into my gaping maw. Goodbye cruel world! Muahahahaha!
Hahahaha! That is great! I want them too! I love your description of them, thedriveintheatre!
And as for the non-hovering EVE, it’s probably just an international version of the other Remote Control EVE we all know so well. But I searched for it online and I couldn’t find it anywhere. Where did you find it, rachelcakes1985?
Thanks for that picture, thedriveintheatre! Those little EVEs look scrummy! Some of the look a bit fat, though. Heheh. Makes me wonder how one would go about making some EVEs of their own… But that was really sweet of Pixar to send the ‘crying girl’ some. =)
Le_chocolat - Like most of my pictures, I found that remote-control EVE on eBay. Here’s a link to a search I did. Some of the EVEs are controlled by a cord, but a few others (the one in the big, yellow boxes) you use an infra-red remote. As far as I can tell it’s a Disney Store exclusive.
