Wall-E Observations...

[spoil]Hmm… the Axiom, or other Axioms, could have had a whole section of the ship dedicated to storing animals, and once they got back to Earth they could have kick-started the process again via cloning. A sort of Noah’s Ark, maybe?[/spoil]

[spoil]As for people on the Axiom going to the bathroom - I’ve thought about that, too! It doesn’t seem as if they ever actually get up and use the “bathroom” like we do. Even the Captain, who could have been considered the most physically active aboard the Axiom, wobbled when he first tried to walk on his own. I suppose the system they use would be similar to something astronauts use. Or maybe they have an in-built toilet in their hover chairs. [/spoil]

[spoil]The computer that the Captain used seemed to know everything about everything on Earth.[/spoil]

[spoil]You see her mouth? I thought it was just her eyes that squinted, and then she makes a coughing sound…[/spoil] (Really cute expression.) Probably just one of those human qualities attributed to robots that help make the characters more likeable, I guess.

I love how [spoil]EVE coughs too! It’s so cute and human! But yes, how exactly does she cough with no mouth? Guess the darkness conveniently covered that problem for the animators (as well as leaving the question open to fans like us).[/spoil]

As for [spoil]the question of the bathroom, maybe their chairs tip them onto the ‘throne’ just like how one of the guys who got called to the holo-detector was already lying on his bed asleep and was merely dumped onto his chair and whisked away. [/spoil]

Here’s another bit I spotted. [spoil]After EVE ‘spark-kisses’ our hero, did anyone notice the bars on his solar panel rapidly oscillating (moving up and down)? That was a brilliant piece of subtle expression on the animators’ part to represent WALL-E’s rapidly beating heart after that experience! [/spoil]

Maybe all that extra dust is harmful to EVE’s insides so she “coughed” it up. :stuck_out_tongue:

Eve seems to have a collar, a ring of slits at the top of her lower body. It’s in the groove under her head, and is just along the top edge. She may need to blow out heat just like a lot of equipment does, and the dust may have gotten in that way. It was a way that the creators showed how Wall-e really helped her, although she could have just shut down in a safe place, wherever that was.

But then again EVE is a Mac, so she’s indestructable. ^,^

I’m so sorry to disappoint you… :frowning:

Skip ahead to 3:22 .

Anyone want to speculate exactly how [spoil]the passengers on the Axiom bathed?[/spoil]

water would fall upon them while they sit in their chairs…then robots would wash them and another rinse would clean them. It would all just fall down on them.

Nice guess, Al-Bob. And maybe after they have been doused with soapy water then rinsed, the chairs might go through a dryer machine, similar to a car wash. Or maybe they have a robot named ‘SCR-B’ (short for ‘scrub’) that cleans them.

I like SCR’B he sounds good…thanks.

I’d hate to have SCR’B’s job though. xD

I would too…just to scrub everysingle person on the Axiom that came to him…sheesh

I suppose M-O could do it. But he seems to be made for cleaning [spoil]the Axiom[/spoil] and not humans, though…

Or maybe they don’t need a bath because[spoil] remember when there is that new clothes “” Try Blue “” they just change it so…[/spoil]

i think their clothes are just designed to be able to change color instantly…like they don’t even have to change at all. All they hav to do is get it…and poof!

  • When WALL•E is [spoil]sitting on the edge of his truck, waiting to see if EVE will charge up (after going into lock-down mode) he plays with his tracks, listen carefully, it’s the “POYSC” song! Not sure if you guys noticed it before, but I only caught it on my fourth time seeing the movie. He really loves that song/movie, doesn’t he?[/spoil]

[spoil]- The little salute that Gopher Bot, and most of the robots give to the Captain.[/spoil]

[spoil]- The Captain’s space helmet in the glass case.[/spoil]

[spoil]- WALL•E charges the fairy lights in his quarters with car batteries, and he seems to power the Christmas lights that he wraps around EVE from either his own power supply, or a mobile battery pack.[/spoil]

I noticed that too, and did you notice that [spoil]when he frees the bots that have to be repaired they’re also playing that song when they’re after him…[/spoil]

I also noticed that[spoil] when he wraps EVE with his Christmas lights, the only lights working are the lights that are next to EVE the others are not on…[/spoil]

I noticed the song all the time…it was everywhere.

[spoil]Yep, that’s Paint Bot AKA VAN-GO. I think he learnt the song from WALL•E.[/spoil]

Some people here think that the solar panels on top of the truck charge that heap of car batteries. Why there are so many is odd.
