I was wondering how he got his lunchbox on his back, very creative. Love the site design, it’s so futuristic, in a non-annoying way. I can’t wait to see the Build-a-Bot feature, it sounds fun.
Dude, the website looks so cool. I can’t wait to view it tommorow. (it is late for me right now).
Very sleek! Thanks for the link, Rachel.
AMAZING!
I finally saw the Super Bowl commercial, and I wasn’t that impressed.
They got rid of the background score music. Why is that?
That music… It reminds me of something wedged deep into my childhood years, but what…?
Thank you very much for the link, rachel!
Jibiti - Hmm. The background music still plays for me. Did you check to see if the “Sound” meter (in the top right-hand side of the page) is on or at its highest point?
– Mitch
Mitch - Ah, I tried it this time with IE and it works fine. For some reason, the music won’t play with Firefox.
OMG, the WALL•E score. Yessss!
They must have added the background music recently because before there was only WALL•E making noises when I visited the website last… I was expecting the score to be a little bit more electronic, but all the same, I’m happy they have gone in this direction. We may have to get miafka to confirm that this is a portion of the actually score, though… (But I bet it is. )
The music makes me giggle…Argh, waiting for this film is driving me nuts!
Yeah, I’ve found that as well. I’ll try and log on to AOL at some point and see if it works on there.
Jibiti - Ah, so that was the problem! Well, I’m glad that it works for you now.
rachel - It sure sounds like it could be a part of the official score for WALL-E. I sure hope that it is, because it’s quite catchy and… “endearing”, if that particular word is suitable in this instance.
I dunno. Something about that music is just… wanders into a nostalgic mode
– Mitch
Some may already know this, but if you don’t press anything on the website, WALL•E will do different tricks. I like when he brings out his solar charge panels.
Mitch - I’m thinking that it is the official score. There is no way that it couldn’t be. It sounds a bit like Finding Nemo too, but I can’t put my finger on why… Yes, the score is very endearing, it is also very inquisitive. The score makes me think of WALL•E’s personality, and it conjures up images of him going to work and doing his assigned duties, trying to get things done. In other words, it’s perfect.
Pretty good, although the sounds Wall-E produce while performing the [spoil]two[/spoil] different tricks are quite annoying when I am taking the Wall-E survey, which I have decided not to take on till the website is fully completed, when I can make my full judgment on it.
All in all, the site is pretty neat.
rachel - Ha-ha. Yeah, I love those actions that he does. My favorite one is the “solar-powered” trick, as well.
Perhaps it’s because Thomas Newman is the composer…? (snigger)
Yes! Inquisitive! That was the word I was looking for. Thanks, rachel. (heheh)
Yep. Perfect, indeed! I can’t wait to get that soundtrack, man…
– Mitch
I don’t know why, but the site is not working for me. sigh I guess I need to keep trying.
The official US WALL•E site doesn’t work for me any more, it just loads to 51% and stays there…
But the Aussie WALL•E site has had more added to it. Not sure if this is on the US site, but there’s a section where you can speak into a microphone (or tap on a keyboard) to try to match the “WA-AH-LEE” on-screen. It takes a bit of practice to do it right though, then you get to do the same with EVE. Very fun. They also have a few new games but I haven’t tried them out yet.
The say it like wall-e game is hard.
Personally, I like the stuff on the Aussie/UK sites more anyway.
The WALL-E Official Site has been updated for the home video release. Not much has changed but the portal is different and in the text only version it shows what features are on what disc.
