Do we have any tentative home vid release dates for the movie. I really do want to watch the movie over and over and over again legally without bankrupting myself as soon as possible. I am hopeful for this November, but considering that Pixar films have legs, WALL*E might still be playing in second-run theaters come Christmas.
Considering Pixar’s latest release dates, I’d say anytime in November. Ratatouille came out on DVD/Blu-Ray November 6th so i;d say anytime around there.
Note: Pixar films die down around Labor Day. But they keep chugging along (they’re like The Little Engine That Could haha) for a little after.
I’v been hearing November 4th from a lot of places, but have yet to find a confirmation.
That sounds just about right since November 4th is on a Tuesday and it’s two days before Ratatouille’s DVD release, just like its theatrical release.
I’ve heard Christmas from someone at the theatre, but I’d prefer November 4…or earlier.
I wish it were on DVD already… November feels like forever from now.
I too wish that that the DVD would come out soon, but then I want WALL-E to stay in theatres because look how successful it has been.
It’s the first week of November…
Cars wide-premiere: 9 June 2006
Cars DVD release date: 7 November 2006 (Blu-ray: 6 November 2007)
Ratatouille wide-premiere: 29 June 2007
Ratatouille DVD/Blu-ray release date: 6 November 2007
Wall-E wide-premiere: 27 June 2008
Wall-E DVD/Blu-ray release date: 4 November 2008 ???
Yeah, november 4 sounds right. I don’t have much hope for a 2-Disc DVD, though. But hopefully the Blu-Ray will have as much content as the older 2-Disc Pixar sets, complete with trailers and such. Either way, I really need to get a Blu-Ray player and HDTV!
Blu-ray will surely have all the DVD extras (in high-definition) and some nice exclusive features. I’m sure! And since I’m upgrading to Blu-ray in the beginning of 2009, Wall-E will be the first BD I will buy among Ratatouille-Pixar shorts two pack (UK release) and Cars.
And Wall-E Blu-ray will have wonderful transfer with spectacular audio and video quality, just like Cars and Ratatouille had.
It’ll be the best Christmas gift ever!
To those of you worried it’ll fade from theaters like everything else, get this: I was anxious to see Ratatouille in the $1 theater last September/October because I thought it was about to disappear from the big screen. They hauled it out for six months!! My little Cinemark must have had a packed audience every night to do that!
Oh, do the Cars or Ratatouille DVDs have commentary? I can’t remember, but I’ve been watching all the commentary’s and TS1 and 2’s are hilarious!

“Cars” Blu-ray Disc has two audio commentaries and “Ratatouille” has one but I think these are only on Blu-ray.
Yeah, those two’s commentary are blu ray only unfortunatly, and I fear WALL-E may have the same fate. sob I love commentary…
The ending to the Monster’s Inc. commentary is hiarious!
