Wall•E Poem, inspired by Steely Dan

Ok, so I am pretty sure 90 percent of the Wall•E fans won’t know the source material, so I want to point out that I didn’t so much WRITE this, as rearrange the words of one of my favorite songs to make it applicable to Wall•E.

Loved the movie.

Anyway, here you go:

Wall•E and Kid Charlamagne
By R.M.Thompson, with apologies to Steely Dan

The mechanized hum of another world,
Piercing your motorized senses
As you complete another days work,
Endlessly

Just by chance you found the plantlife for this pearl,
You turned it the world,
That’s when you turned the world around.
And she froze.

Everywhere else stuff was dirty, wet, obscene
But Eve was kitchen clean.
You’d go it alone,
Could you feel the whole world fall apart and fade away?
Could you live Forever?

Now the life you known has left you in the red,
The Earth has fallen and is faded
This life can be very strange.
With beeps and clicks of automation,
You’ve joined the human race.
Yet some things will never change.

Careful what you carry,
Because the man is wise,
You are still an outlaw in their eyes.

I know you are new here and welcome to Pixar planet. And It is a really great poem. BUt I think a better spot for this poem would be the Pixar Fanfiction section of Pixar Planet.

Once again, welcome to Pixar Planet RMThompson

Very creative. The only poem I could think of is the BnL ad from the movie!
Too much garbage in your face?
There’s plenty of space out in space.
BnL starliners, leaving each day.
We’ll clean up the mess while you’re away!

Because at BnL, space is the final fun-tier!

Great job, but wrong section like said before. ^^
