WALL- E Poster!

That is just the poster I received from a contact at a site which does the online content distribution for Buena Vista International in Australia. I don’t know of an American one yet sorry.

All the information that was sent to me relates to the Australian release of WALL-E on Sept 4 2008 :frowning:

Here’s all the teaser posters that have been put on the web today:

And as far as I am aware, the only correct one is the 2nd one and possibly the one that says theatres. Pixar are quite picky!

It was Pixar who picked up on the incorrect poster so it makes me wonder if Pixar are actually conducting the marketing for WALL-E, with Disney’s aid.

I love the teaser poster. It says a lot about the film if you read into it. It’s so beautiful. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" />

What does everyone think of “From the creators of Finding Nemo” on the bottom? In some way I wish they would stop doing that as Pixar shouldn’t have to keep reminding people who they are all the time, but the general public is a bit ignorant about who Pixar is, and I guess they don’t want to get confused with Dreamworks or something…

I hope that the marketing for Wall.E is indeed in Pixar’s hands with assistance from Disney, so they don’t flub up the marketing and distribution (especially internationally), like what happened with Ratatouille.

Dang. I should have expected Australia to get shafted again… sigh

PV - Pixar can make almost anything look good.

I suppose that it can get rather annoying, but if it’s affective then they should, by all means, post it onto the paper. I guess that there’s always someone out there who thinks that all of these great animated films are being created by Disney Studios or some other company besides Pixar. Kinda sad really…

Cool posters JV!

The Brain Trust at Pixar know what kind of weight their past efforts carry with the general public. It’s like saying “we made it so you can trust that it’s a quality product in a market full of wannabes.”

Of course it’s just common sense to us, but It’s downright amazing how many people don’t know one animation studio from the other.

A new poster is up at IGN.com

WOW! The detail is so clear! But I don’t think it’s a poster, it looks more like a promo image.

Isn’t that the purpose of a movie poster? :stuck_out_tongue:

The first poster is far more impressive, but this new shot of WALL•E is sweet.

Thank you for sharing, Tom!

~~=oP

I like that new poster, and I am resisting the urge to say how much he looks like Johnny 5. Also, WALL-E’s eyes freak me out. Thanks for sharing!

I think WALL E is the cutest character Pixar made! He’s too cute lol.
Thanks a lot!

No offense, but that new poster freaks me out. It must be his eyes or something. :stuck_out_tongue: (snigger)

Oh come on Mitch, the eyes are so adorable!

The eyes are freaky. But I still love WALL-E. <3

Is it just me or does it look like the Leopard default wallpaper that is reflecting in WALL•E’s eye’s?

Comparison please…

Although not exactly the same, and it’s just a co-inky-dink, it looks might similar.

Trust a Mac fan to notice that.

But yeah, that’s pretty similar and a very good choice for WALL-E’s eyes - it’s so pretty.

I bet he is looking at himself in Photo booth on a fancy new MacBook.
