That is just the poster I received from a contact at a site which does the online content distribution for Buena Vista International in Australia. I don’t know of an American one yet sorry.
All the information that was sent to me relates to the Australian release of WALL-E on Sept 4 2008
I love the teaser poster. It says a lot about the film if you read into it. It’s so beautiful. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

What does everyone think of “From the creators of Finding Nemo” on the bottom? In some way I wish they would stop doing that as Pixar shouldn’t have to keep reminding people who they are all the time, but the general public is a bit ignorant about who Pixar is, and I guess they don’t want to get confused with Dreamworks or something…
I hope that the marketing for Wall.E is indeed in Pixar’s hands with assistance from Disney, so they don’t flub up the marketing and distribution (especially internationally), like what happened with Ratatouille.
Dang. I should have expected Australia to get shafted again… sigh
I suppose that it can get rather annoying, but if it’s affective then they should, by all means, post it onto the paper. I guess that there’s always someone out there who thinks that all of these great animated films are being created by Disney Studios or some other company besides Pixar. Kinda sad really…
The Brain Trust at Pixar know what kind of weight their past efforts carry with the general public. It’s like saying “we made it so you can trust that it’s a quality product in a market full of wannabes.”
Of course it’s just common sense to us, but It’s downright amazing how many people don’t know one animation studio from the other.
