SharkBait - Hey – “speakers”. I never

thought of that. Interesting idea… Perhaps he will have audio speakers instead of a mouth.

CartoonBoy - Dude, I was just kidding. I grew up on Charlin

Chaplin and all of those other silent films. Trust me not to make myself clear – heheh. Sorry

about that.

JV - Cool. Thanks for the information!

Edit - By the way, I love your new avatar, JV. It’s making me blush like

crazy… <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" />

Mitch: Any time!

CountSolo: Speaking of which, now that you

have mentioned Ratzenberger, I wonder. What will he play in the movie?

The main character’s

sidekick? The discoverer of the ninth planet in the solar system? (I’m not sure sure if any of you got that

second one but it’s supposed to be a Pluto-is-no-longer-a-planet joke… ahem  )

It’s anyone’s guess

right now. We don’t even know who Ratzenberger’s going to play in

Ratatouille

I’m wondering if WALL*E

will be perhaps an R2D2 type character where he has no dialogue but others around him do.

That would be intresting, but I think I disagree

respectfully with you. Wall-E seems to be the main character. Almost every main character in movies have

dialouge.

Dash - Yeah – that is what I would love to see: a character who

can only communicate nonverbally and who needs the support (and dialogue) of others to carry him through the

film.

But, keep in mind that Pixar sometimes remodifies/touches up their characters. This is what WALL-E

looks like at the present time, but the animators may very well decide to add a mouth or a voicebox or several

other special features. Or they may not touch the charater at all. We’ll just have to wait for more

information.

Check this out a member at the Animated News forums said: ?I’ve heard from people at pixar that it’s true that

there’s no dialogue. Only communication through

sounds.?

animated-news.com/forum/view … 8893#28893

Do you guys think this is

true?

JV - Oh please, let it be true! prays

I hope it is not true, because who wants to watch a whole film without

dialogue? I know I don?t! But Pixar knows what there doing. fingers crossed

Well, it is from a member who said the words “I Heard.” so it is probably a

rumor. I wish they had dialouge though.

The Star Swordsman - Of course it will have dialouge. I can see that in a short

film, but certainly not a feature.

But you have to also consider the rumor that has just

been presented to us. Just because someone says “the people at pixar say no dialoge”, that doesn’t

mean it is true. Then again, that doen’t mean it is not true. Pixar is good at keeping secrets. It all depends

on what you wish to believe.

Wall-E looks like a

worried/depressed little robot… it’d be funny if Woody Allen did it’s voice… JUST kidding.

Wow, I’m really slow on the uptake here. I just

now saw the picture.
I must confess, I’m a little disappointed to learn that Wall-E is a robot. I guess I

was hoping for something a bit more… organic. But oh well, Pixar’s done plenty of organic movies already.

And Wall-E is soooo darn cute! Look at those eyes! He’s just begging to be loved! <3 A little guy who

has to prove his worth despite his size, eh? Well, as a short person myself, I’m all for that plot!

Hmm,

the topic of the hour seems to be dialogue. I’m kinda hoping there will be some dialogue, so John Ratzenberger

can still be a voice  , but the idea of a whole feature film with only sound is quite intriguing. And

after watching the sound-effects only version of A Bug’s Life, I have no doubt that Pixar could pull it off.

:sunglasses:

I think

W.A.L.L.-E. is really cute. I think it would be very cool to have him like an R2-D2 type character who doesn’t

talk to communicate. I’m not really looking forward to Ratatouille that much, but I will definitely be there to

see the teaser for this one. Perhaps Lifted will have a little something to do with W.A.L.L.-E. I can’t wait to

get a little action figure of him! :sunglasses:

Same here Lightning95! I think the WALL? E action figure will be one of the

coolest Pixar toys ever!

And I second

that! An action figure/toy of him would be awesome, Lightning95. I’d love to have a

remote control WALL-E to chase my sisters around the house with. (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:

And you’re not looking

forward to Ratatouille? Well, I won’t go there…

And now that Wall-e has been revealed, I am now wondering

what kind of toys of Wall-E will be revealed?
