Or it could mean that it is in the middle process of animation. And when they said layout, I think they
meant Story Layout. I would figure they would be done with that by now.
They’re already in that stage? I guess they would be. I mean, it’s coming out in about a year. It just seems farther away than that.
It doesn’t seem too surprising that they would be that far ahead with WALL-E , Heck, they’ve probably got the teaser trailer completed by now.
Ooh! This is interesting! Mind elaborating a little bit, zoom7? ![]()
When they say layout, in means there setting up for the animation stage. The characters and the props are all placed in a rough set and given basic movements…the animation department then finishes these “basic movements” with facial animation, simple simulation and a general “full animated” look.
So if it is indeed in the layout and animation stages right now (which I would need further proof of), I would expect some of the scenes to be “laid out”, and some actually in complete animation.
Bill – I would expect them to be done with the animation of the teaser by now…probably just editing it, I suppose! ![]()

can’t wait to see it!!
Do you work for Pixar, zoom7?
And if anyone here has ever watched the "making of"s and seen this stage of movie development, it can actually look quite funny!
(Haha) Agreed!
