No, it’s not what you think.laughs.

Sorry for the dumb poll. I got carried away. laughs.

I have seen a fair amount of WALL·E videos on Youtube, with footage that I assume is directly from the source. I also assume many people who post these videos have windows and use Windows movie maker.

I have a mac, and I have absolutely no knowledge on what to do in this situation. I found a song that I absolutely loved, and, being completely obseesed with the film WALL·E, I wanted to utilize this song in a rapidly cutting, chaotic style to the song like many live-action vids I am known for.Crazy webshows #1,2,and 3. Happy Birthday, Amber, and Now for Something Completely different, and so on.

(Auto also plays an offscreen, sarcastic role in many of these. My Youtube screen name is YoshiStarSpirit. Sorry for advertising.)

I am good with using iMovie to create these live-action uploads. I tried to move the dvd footage to iMovie with Handbrake, VLC, and many others. So far, no luck.

I will credit whoever helps me with this predicament in the video. I’m also working on a hilarious new opening to all my WALL·E videos. In my live-action portions, I use a poster on which I wrote my name, WALL·E style, with an E.

I will also annonce on this topic if and when I put the video up.

Thank you for reading. If you know ANYTHING, please notify me here or PM me. Thanks again.

Moved thread to Videos section. — Rachel. =)

Are you trying to move the DVD footage directly without ripping the DVD first? You will need to rip the DVD first unless you plan to download your source material. Unfortunately that is easier said than done with WALL-E due to the copy protection scheme. Here’s a guide AtomicGreymon wrote on WALL-E Forum about fan vids:

walleforum.com/index.php?topic=2094.0

It includes instructions early on (under “Source Material”) for ripping and what programs can rip the DVD. Also, since you are using iMovie, please see the section “iMovie Users - Special Considerations” as it explains some things you may need to know, and may very well solve the problem you’re having.

Oh…see, I forgot to rip the DVD.laughs.

Haven’t gotten ahold of a DVD ripper yet, but I found one so…

wallefanatic, you are being credited once the vid is up! Thank you!

Any other suggestions. I have downloaded several unsucessful DVD rippers, including Mac the ripper, DVDxDV, VLC, Handbrake, SetupanyDVD, and ircclient. I deleted them all. None worked, all froze up my computer.

Is there a program to rip DVDs directly onto iMovie? Many google searches bring up nothing.

Well, I don’t have a mac, but I use both AOA DVD Ripper and DVD to VCD AVI Converter.

PM thedriveintheatre. He is the best MV maker here who uses a Mac.

Hold on, everyone. I found a way to convert my dvd to iMovie. The video will have one minor flaw but that shouldn’t bother anyone…

Thanks the The Star Swordsman, thedrivintheatre, and wallefanatic. You will be mentioned in the video description!

The first video is up! Sorry about the Evaluation text, but I finally got something to work at least!

Thanks for all your help! On the actual feature, WALL·E the musical, you will all be credited!
