Wall-E Walking the Streets of LA and # of Wall-E sounds

Two things, may as well just combine them in one post.

(1) Wall-E walking the streets of LA, with video:
io9.com/390604/wall+e-has-gotten … la-streets
(Now if Disney can only pull off making a floating Eve to float around the streets of LA…)

(2) From this month’s (June 2008) Wired Magazine, there’s just a short paragraph on Wall-E and Ben Burtt. Here’s the last half of it:
"… Just listen to the dialog – those blips, whirs and chirps created by Burtt, the Oscar-winning sound designer behind the voice of R2-D2 (and countless other Star Wars characters). Burtt came out of retirement to record more than 2,500 unique samples for the film [Wall-E]. Star Wars made do with a paltry 800 sounds.

An R2 Builder named Bob Ross was in Philadelphia and got some great photos and video of the studio built WALL-E.

Check it out.

Thanks Bob for the photos and Pixelfiend for hosting them.

Yeah, I saw a video of that… He seems a lot larger in real life than in the movie. He’s also just been spotted in Philly.

AH!!! The amount of cuteness in that video … it’s just intolerable! xD I thought him cute before of course but just to see him there, in real life, moving around … gahh! So cute! <3

Thanks for posting the link- otherwise I’d’ve never found it.

OMG yes, based on the vids I’ve seen of this real WALL-E he does look really cute!
