Wall Of Prayer

I’ve good news, too. The trip went well, and was completely safe, despite the long hour delay.
Oh, and also, Al-Bob, I requested my small group to pray for your aunt. Hope things get better.

Hey, guys. As some of you may know, I am attending college soon, so I hope you good Christians out there could pray for me, too, for my two years course to be smooth, and, of course, please pray for this course to be useful in helping me attain a career at Pixar as well.

Thanks a lot, and Amen.

Dragon…i’ll remember to keep that in mind.

BDD-Thank you…it gives me relief that someone cares. Thank You…

You will love college Dragon. Good luck

I pray to everyone to try to fulfill their new years resolutions.

Amen to that!!!

I pray that Israel may be able to think smart and be careful as they go through yet again another raid.

Guys, may I ask that you please join me in prayer for this classmate I have. Usually, he’s the class clown or something, and isn’t easily depressed- even when he sprained his ankle he looked on the bright side! But yesterday, he was close to crying. I asked him what happened. His grandpa died just yesterday morning.
I want to show that I care even if everyone else at school doesn’t.

BDD: I will definitely keep your friend in my prayers. It is tough to lose someone, especially if you were really close to them.

I’d like to ask everyone to pray for my family. For the past 3 1/2 years, my dad had to lay off all of his employees (he owns an automotive restyling business and also sprays Rhino Linings - spray in bedliners) because sales were tough. Now the business isn’t even making enough money to pay my parents, and my mom can’t get another job because she homeschools all 4 of us kids, and my dad has to work late. (He works hard all the time and never gets paid.) We have no more money for food (literally) and insurance/shop bills are due this month. We don’t know what we’re going to do to get the money we need.

Also, our house has been on the market for that entire time and hasn’t sold. We really, really need the money that would come from selling it.

I don’t want you to think I’m telling a sob-story… this is the plain truth. Although I seem all bright and okay while I’m posting here on the site, things have not been okay for a long time.

I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We need a miracle. :frowning:

little chef

I will keep you in my prayers little_chef_eva09
To be honest with you…i thought those kinds of stories were exagerated…now that i know they are true and occuring i’m very much shocked.

May God bless you and your family…Amen.

Yeah, so this is the first time I’m posting on this board… and it’s for a pretty serious purpose (not to say that there’s no serious prayers… as I’m sure all of them, regardless of intent, are).

My dad has always had a problem with his back (slipped discs due to bad posture, lifting heavy stuff, and a botched earlier operation), but for the whole past week it’s pretty bad. Yesterday he was scheduled for an operation, but he had such severe pain yesterday morning (he was wincing when we lifted him to his bed) that we had to call for an ambulance. They carted him away in gurney and I haven’t seen him since. My mum accompanied him in the ambo to the hospital yesterday and made another trip today. They had to run further tests to assess the situation yesterday, and now (which is 6:40 pm in Singapore) he should have been wheeled into the theatre and should be drifting off to Dreamland under anesthesia.

Anyway, I trust Singapore’s doctors, but this is just an online prayer to wish him the best of luck for his operation (since a spinal surgery mishap can get pretty serious, even fatal) and that he gets better. Hopefully this is his last back operation, and he pulls through. We’ll know the outcome in a mere few hours time.

Fingers crossed… man, I’m so scared.

I pray that the doctors at the Singapore hospital can do their best. May God protect your dad TDIT and see him through the operation. I pray that TDIT may feel a comfort that calms all fears and that a peace may fill the house.

I will pray for you TDIT…

TDIT: I’ll be praying, too. It is a very scary thing when your dad is in the hospital…

Agreeing with Al-Bob… I also pray that God’s peace will be with you, and that He will give you the assurance that everything will be okay - all of this is in His hands.

little_chef_eva09: I pray for you and your family through this trying time.

TDIT: Your father is also in my prayers. I pray that he has a safe and successful surgery.

little_chef_eva09: I’ll pray for things to get better for you and your family! Don’t give up hope! The Lord is watching over you!

thedriveintheatre: I’ll also pray for your dad. May the doctors succeed and your dad pull through. And it’s okay if you’re worried (who wouldn’t be?), but remember not to give up hope!

thanks guys… I really appreciate knowing that people care.

Thanks to all who wished me and my dad well! You all are fully spectacular! sniff

FYI, he made it yesterday night, and we paid him a visit this morning and evening. He’s now recuperating, and will be discharged this Tuesday. His back still hurts (he has to lie most of the time and needs a walking frame along with my bro and I to ‘armpit’ him in case he collapses), and he has to do a couple of physiotherapy sessions, but other than that, he’s coping some pretty awesome!

little_chef_eva09: My thoughts are with your family too. Hope y’all get through these tough times. Nothing lasts forever, and that includes the bad periods in life. The storm will clear, and the skies will be blue again. (Woah, getting lyrical here…) Anyway, yeah, I pray things will get better for you and your kin. Hang in there!

red- I really hope you and your family are able to get through what you’re experiencing now. At least you’re safe in the knowledge that you have each other.

thedriveintheatre- I’m so pleased to hear that your father’s going to be okay! I hope he makes a really good recovery.

Personally, I pray to my God, thanking him for bringing my grandfather back home from the Philippines safely.

Glad your dad is doing better, thedriveintheatre. Back pain can be the absolute worst pain ever. You never realise how much you use it till you throw it out.

Thanks for your concern, Rachel! He’s okay now, though now he’s stuck with a walking frame and my family and I have to ‘armpit’ him when he wants to walk around. Hopefully everything turns out hunky-dory.

I had an interesting day today…

My car needed to be inspected by November, but I put it off for a month or two until I got a ticket a few weeks ago…That bumped the car inspection up on my priority list. :stuck_out_tongue: So I got it inspected today at a place called VIP, and they told me everything that was wrong with the car (two pages of stuff), and that it’ll cost $1,000 to fix it all up. Now, our VIP is known for overcharging, so I took my car to another repair shop. They inspected it, and told me it will cost $460. Turns out VIP charged me for a whole lot of silly things that I shouldn’t need to pay for (And they didn’t even notice that a simple brake light was out in my rear window…). So I thank God that I don’t have to come up with a thousand bucks…Only $500. So, that’s why I’m posting here. Prayer would be greatly appreciated, because I really don’t have $500 to spend, and I really need my car. Thanks in advance.
