We’ll pray…and see what happens.
azzstar:
I pray that all who have lost faith in God, or never did believe, someday find light. I also pray that those who trash Him will someday see the error of their ways and rise above a life in Heck.
I pray that my cousin’s new daughter lives a long and happy life, and that she can be as powerful and strong as she can be. I also pray that I can help her live this dream, and support her through every twist and turn in her life, for better or for worse.
Amen
I pray that people may feel the spirit leading them to “Do Hard Things”.
Lord may we do the things that try our souls. May we go through the times that try men’s souls.
Rac_Rules: You have no idea how many times I ask the lord for that about helping others to see the light and also to show others the way, the truth and the light.
I pray for that, too. It’s so sad how many don’t accept Him.
And women’s, too.
I got another inspriational story; anyone want me to post it?
Sure go right ahead…
and women too…(you had to ruin a famous quote)
You may have heard this one before. And I may skip some details that’s supposed to make it more intense, because I don’t remember that much.
Once, there was a man whose loyal companion was a hawk. Wherever the king went, the hawk would go, too. He loved the hawk as a friend more than anything.
Then, one day, the man was outside, far from home, and he was very thirsty. So he bent down near a river, scooped up water from it in his cup, and was about to drink it when-
The hawk swooped down quickly and knocked the cup out of his hand.
The man was annoyed. He picked up the cup and tried again. He filled his cup with water from the river, and as he was about to drink it-
Swoosh. The hawk did it again.
The man’s anger against the hawk was growing. He tried to get water once again. But everytime he got water, the hawk would knock it out of his hand.
“Can’t you see I’m thirsty? Can’t I get a little drink?” the man yelled.
He filled his cup over and over again, and every time, the hawk would not let him drink.
The nam was so furious that he took out a sword. He would kill his best friend for that drink of water he’d been trying to get.
So this time, the man scooped up water from the river into his cup, and he prepared for the hawk. When it swooped down, the man killed it with his sword.
As he was about to drink the water, he noticed something strange about the river. He walked farther up too see, and gasped in horror.
For there, in the river, was a dead, poisonous snake. If he had drank the water, he would have been poisoned. And now he knew why the hawk didn’t let him, drink the water, no matter how much he wanted to. The hawk was higher up, so it could spot things that the man could not.
The man picked up the dead body of the hawk that he killed, and cried.
ahhhhh…cute story.
Please pray for me…my little sister just got a cat
I need help please pray for me.
I’ll be praying for your family’s health, Al. And the cat.
I’ll pray that the cat will get along with you, or leave you alone, whichever one is for the better, Al-Bob
Well she is really young so she loves to play with people. So hopefully she won’t mind playing with the whole family at once.
Everyone, keep praying for the Galvestonians and Houstonians, that they can live in a safe place.
Encouraging story:
A new Christian was shy in school. He prayed to God that he might be able to talk to more people about Jesus.
Fifteen people from his school have come to Christ.
Wow, that is an inspiring story. I heard the same one durring easter time a couple years back.
Yep…be careful what you wish or want you just might get it and a lot more.
Short story, but it says so much.
Has anyone ever compared caterpillars to us and the afterlife?
Caterpillars know when their time has come to move on to a new life.
They trust that they’ll survive to become a butterfly.
Butterflies do not come back to tell caterpillars what they’ll go through.
But they take the chance. Afraid of what happens next or not, they still have to go through it.
We will have a time to move on to a new life.
We have faith.
The spirits of the dead will not return to tell us to assure us that we will make it.
But we have faith, and faith brings hope, and makes us strong.
Great Analysis of what we go through…well put.
Thank you.
Just to prove the power of prayer: Once, I was almost born too premature, and I couldn’t survive if I did. My parents and a church prayed for me. Then, thank God, I was born later, and so I survived. Yes, true story. If it hadn’t been for the caring prayers, I probably wouldn’t be here.
Nobody better tell me that was not God’s work.
Nobody tell me that it was an accident, and of chance and luck.
Nobody tell me that prayer does nothing.
B•-R: That is an amazing story! And i’ll support you in all those statements at the bottom.
bright dot-dasher: I like that comparison between the caterpillar and afterlife. Never thought about it that way, but it is very true! All we have to do is have faith.
