Walt Disney World College Program

Okay, so I’m thinking of going through with this if I don’t get accepted into the art

college I’m trying for … if I don’t get in, I’m going to a different college for one year so I can qualify

to go to this=

& Resorts College Program[/url]

It doesn’t have animation, sadly, but it’s pretty cool. The

tuition’s paid for and all you need to pay for is textbooks and supplies and things of the like. At this point,

I’m looking to get involved with anything Disney/Pixar related ASAP.

The art related field is for

sceneries and stuff around the park, which I think I’d enjoy doing. It just sounds like a lot of fun!

Wow – that’s fantastic! I’d never

even heard about it before until you mentioned it. What a fabulous way to spend your college “vacation”

– heheh. I wish you a fun time at the place if you do decide to go along with your plan. I say: go for it, if

that’s your dream.

The only thing I can’t understand is why they don’t offer any animation courses.

What’s the point in that? :stuck_out_tongue:

I attended a presentation for this years ago at another university.

I’d have a ball working at any Disney park, but it’s not for me.

Good luck to you though,

FONY.

Disney College program. Very

intresting. Good luck.

Yeah, they visit my college every semester looking for

recruits . I’m thinking of going soon !!

I showed this to my prospective

animator/graphic designer sister, and she’s kind of jazzed about the idea, and now she’s going to look into it.

I like the idea that there’s an education major, but I don’t think it’s for me, either, though showing up at a

high school saying that I studied education at Disney World sounds like something I’d do…

I really wanna go- too bad I need at least one year of college beforehand. With my luck I’ll get into FIT-

on one hand I don’t want to go there but on the other hand … maybe two years of illustration would be worth

it, and I’ll get computer animation then. Plus, the school’s cheap. And I’m not so ready to spend one year and

then go to Disney, 'cause that’ll mean I’ll have to jump right into driving lessons. I’m so childish … it

ain’t going to happen soon. I just don’t feel ready.

Anyways, I’ve got to work my butt off all next

week on life observations! x__x I hate drawing from life; I only enjoy it when I know it’s not a required thing

… if that makes sense. I do better with cartooning. Too bad my ‘skills’ aren’t going to cut it.

Aaaand I found out I could’ve worked on cartooning pieces for the portfolio, but I need the four

required pieces also. x__x

But I won’t bore or make myself more depressed.

This college just looks

like pure fun! I hope it is just as it looks like. It should, 'cause you know when it comes to Disney and their

parks they’re all about fun. If it’s as good as it seems to be, my brother will go there too- he’s going into

performing arts.
I know the art field in it, of the stage designs and product design doesn’t sound very fun,

not as much as animating anyway, but I’m going to try different things just for kicks. Plus, it’s best I get

involved with Disney asap, for it’ll open my door to Pixar! xD
