Right now they are are doing final checks and test on the equipment. Which includes sending the rescue capsule down the shaft a few times. To make sure it don’t snag on anything.
Once that is done, they will start pulling miners up one-by-one. They hope to have the first one out by midnight local time. (Local as in local to them)
The first miner is coming up now!

I like how they have the Chilean flag there flying.
Strangely enough, we covered this news story in Broadcasting class today. 
I’m surprised some of the students were largely ignorant of the event. Probably too engrossed in their uni bar outings and TV soap operas to care about the world at large.
I am glad to see that the miners are finally being released, i can´t think about how terrible have been those two months for them…
