Interesting that Fox Animation Studios might be getting back into full-length animated features, perhaps inspired by the positive reception of Fantastic Mr. Fox.
That would be awesome!! I hope they do. And Warner Brothers needs to also.
Not terribly interested in the concept for the film (personally), but I welcome more animation studios to get back in the business!
According to WikiPleadia, Fox and Warner Bros. are co-producing a Flintstones project, but it might be TV only. Warner Bros. seems happy to continue its own cartoon/comics franchises via TV or to back features produced by indie studios (a la Happy Feet). And if Welcome to the Jungle doesn’t grab you, Fox is reportedly in pre-production on Mr. Men (and Little Miss):
