Sorry it took so long! We’re still working out a few kinks but I, as Mell, believe it’s all quite worth it. We’re also working out a few last kinks with Radio Pixar as well - go figure.
In the mean time, if you run into a glitch (there will be some - so far I’ve already had missing info, screwed up passwords, and one person even banned by accident), then let us know via PM, e-mail, or post in Troubleshooting and we’ll get right on it.
Just a couple things though.
Some personal info and things like avies and sigs got lost in the move for some people - you’ll notice even mine are gone! If you were adversely affected by this we’re sorry and our advice is just to add it back in. Nothing was removed or changed because it was disallowed - we just had a few transfer glitches.
Lastly, do NOT push the subsilver skin option in your profile. If so, everything will go haywire and you won’t be able to access the forums any more… so… No touchy my monkey… I mean subsilver. =P

The new forum style looks absolutely wonderful and incredibly spiffy! I am loving the more professional “attire” and the overall acquired and sleek taste of the board(s). It has, predictably, taken a little bit of getting used to, but otherwise it’s terrific!

I’m so glad these forums are back. Coming back from vacation and not being able to access here was just painful. The design took me totally by surprise, but I’m getting used to it… slowly. Great work, though.
I thought it would be better if I illustrated my suggestion of the lines that separate each post. I think they are a little bit too faint to notice them:
If they were made a bit darker, then it would be easier to see where each post begins and ends. And is it just me, or are the pics posted on here resized to be really small?
Whoops! That shouldn’t have even still been in there! Haha, when I say ‘can you think of anything else I need to do, Dash?’, that should be the point you point things like this out to me. XD I’ve taken the option out now anyway so no one will be tempted to see what happens!
In my defense I didn’t even realise you could change skins via your profile (thought you could only do it from the front page) until I had about 3 people send me panicked e-mails because they touched =P
I know one of them was Retromaster because he called me but I missed the call and when I called him back he told me what happend to his acount. Matter of fact before you guys upgraded to phpbb 3 and was still using phpbb 2. I clicked on the subsliver skin and the same thing happend to me. Thank god for Vim (AKA The Daring Dragoon) (CSI level 3) (the Great and Terrible) because he had to switch my acounts skin back to the Cars skin.

Sooooo, you’ve made it to go along with the homepage ay? I mostly like it. I say mostly, because while I dont find anything inherently wrong, I’m still at that “getting used to it” stage. You know, i’m getting reoriented & stuff. But yeah, pretty cool looking for the most part.
I’m very sorry to have to say this, but it will take me a long time to get used to the new look. Now, I mean no disrespect, but the old version seemed more “organic” (I’m not sure if that’s the right word) to me… plus the deleting of countless posts in topics has got me very confused. Heck, in the Fan Art threads, whole pieces are gone (although I guess they could simply post them up again) , and in others, whole pages are gone. I’m very sorry if I’m coming across as being rude or ungrateful, because I’m not.
We’ve resynched some of the forums to make things easier for you and us. You’ll see that Pixar Planet News & Community Events are gone and have been merged into this forum, while an Upcoming Features subforum has been added to Feature Films to separate discussion on individual projects from Pixar movies in general, and a new Non-Pixar Art forum has been added to Off Topic so you can now show off your original and non-Pixar related work without bogging down the Fan Art forum.
Hopefully this will make everyone’s experience more enjoyable!
