TDIT: Haha, I feel you. Springtime where I live definitely feels like Berk half of the time. It was quite appropriate that the entire time I read the first four books in the HtTYD series, it rained almost the entire five days I was reading.
If there’s any one song from that soundtrack that has the potential to reach my Top 25 Most Played playlist, it’s definitely going to be that one.
Oh dear, what a terribly romantic-depressive song…
Nothin’ On You - B.o.B ft. Bruno Mars
For something more cheerful… here’s my current earworm. I swear, I could listen to this song for hours! Usually I would cringe at the mere mention of “rap”, but this number is so clean (nary a swear word!), positive, and uplifting. Such refreshing music, after all the hedonistic Lady Gaga/Rihanna/Pussycat Dolls/Flo-Rida crap!
TDIT- Good song ^! And I agree, I love it when the artist doesn’t feel the need to swear all the time in their songs (although, I’ll admit, if I like the song enough, I’ll tolerate it). But, yeah, sweet song ! Although, I do kinda like Rihanna . And I’m on the fence about Lady Gaga .
Rihanna - Pon De Replay
No slap in the face to TDIT! I swear, I just happened to be listening to this! You’ll still like me right?
Just one question: what the heck does “Pon De Replay” mean?!
Oh, well, I feel much better … . Thanks ! And, thanks for telling me that. I don’t speak much Spanish, so I wouldn’t have picked up on that. But I did figure it was Spanish for somthing.
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock & Roll
I know, big jump from the other song . I’m actually watching a video of ALF the alien dancing to it. Here’s the link if you wanna check it out : youtube.com/watch?v=v0xDrE4S … ature=fvwp
My favourite track from my favourite live-action movie of all-time. Beautiful french horn and violin instrumentals take us right to the dramatic climax of this rollercoaster-ride-of-a-movie, as Jack and Annie frantically try to get the passengers off a bomb-rigged bus. But with a blown tire and a near empty fuel tank, will they be able to save themselves?
Kudos to Mark Mancina (whose work you can now hear on Numb3rs) for never letting up on the awesomeness! My favourite bits are 00:59-1:45, 2:11-2:27, and 3:22 all the way to the end; this entire piece is literally ‘heroic-moment’ tear-inducing.
