Top Gun Anthem.
I’ve been listening to the album An Airplane Carried Me To Bed by Sky Sailing so much over the past few days. Like that’s all I’ve listened this past week!
For those of you that don’t know, Sky Sailing was a project that Adam Young was doing before he started Owl City. Adam Young and Owl City is one of the few modern mainstream artist that I like and will listen to. The reason why is because you can tell that he makes music not just for the money, but also because he truly does love music. Case in point, all the songs that appear on the Sky Sailing album originally were never going to be released to public, because he wasn’t famous when he recorded them and he only made them for enjoyment. He only released them after he became a hit to show his fans his humble beginnings.
My two favorite songs for this album are Brielle and Sailboats. Come to think of it, they’re probably my favorite songs right now, period.
Give it a listen, especially if you love Owl City, because you’ll love Sky Sailing! It’s like an acoustic version of Owl City. Instead of all that synthesizer and electronic stuff, there’s acoustic guitar and piano, and I find that more relaxing. (In my opinion.)
