What are you planing on seeing this year?

Thanks for the list

PV. I see 5 mof my favorite movies on that list that they are gonna rip off. Harry Potter, X-Men, Pirates,

Narnia, and Superman.

Yep. She even

says, “I’m so hot”. :unamused:

~~=oP

Exactly! I SO badly need to see Epic

Movie- I saw a poster, and it makes fun of POTC, and CATCF and Superman and so many other movies that NEED to be

made fun of! The Scary Movies contained some of the funniest scenes in any movie I’ve ever seen (the intro to

Scary Movie 2, with James Woods…"Oh LORD, release the demons within me!) so I just have to see Epic

Movie, despite the general badness of Date Movie. The greatest scenes are the ones where, in the original film,

they’re being very serious and something major is happening but in the rip-off, they just make fun of it. It’s

so great. I’ve always had this image of the people that make those films just sitting there, very drunk,

talking about rubbish and going, “yeah, that would be great!”

Hmm… id like to also see Transformers…and ooh the Ninja turtles movie…and

Indiana Jones… but thats not coming out this year i think.

I just saw the trailer to Ninja Turtles on

Yahoo. I am adding that to my list of “Movies I have to See”. I am not as hyped to see transformers

though. I doesn’t look that convincing. And I am not really a fan of Transformers.

I 100% agree with that. :3 I LOVED, loved, loved PotC 3, but once

you think about it it DID take itself a little too seriously and there was so much hype about it that it’s just

begging to be made fun of! Specially Davy Jones! Anybody see the trailer were he’s

deejaying with his tentacles and his crew is breakdancing and rapping?

Here’s my list…

 1. Spider-Man 3
 2. Harry

Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
3. Ratatouille
4. The Simpsons Movie
5. Pirates of the Caribbean: At

World’s End
6. Sweeney Todd

I’ll add more if I think of any.

I definetly want to see Epic Movie . And don’t worry

Mitch , it’s rated PG-13

i wanna see the

3rd Shrek movie. ;-p

lizardgirl - Yeah, exactly! It’s fun to spoof up films (whether horrible or

wonderful) in general, so this is the perfect film for me.

gottalovepixar - Heheh – yeah, PixarVixen told

me that it was rated PG-13. Thanks for reminding me, though.

What am I planning to see this

year? Well, I’m probably not going to be able to watch all of the following in theaters, but at least these are

the ones that I anticipate the most:

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s

End: I’m not a really big fan of the

Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but I think it would be interesting to see what

happens next. For the record, I loved the first one (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black

Pearl), and I thought the second one (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s

Chest) was okay.

Meet the

Robinsons - I haven’t been all that excited with new entries to the Disney

animated canon lately (see

[url=List of Disney theatrical animated feature films - Wikipedia

s.29]this Wikipedia page for the list). Due to this lack of excitement, I haven’t even bothered watching

Chicken Little, Home on the Range, etc. Mind you, some

of Disney’s newest entries like Brother Bear and Lilo and

Stitch were pretty good, but they definitely weren’t in the same league as the movies that came

out during the so-called Disney Renaissance era (which started with The Little

Mermaid and ended with Tarzan). However, with Disney buying Pixar,

and with Pixar actually influencing Disney to a great extent, rather than vice versa (or so it seems), I am

optimistic that Disney could get back to those good old days when they made brilliant

movies.

Fanboys - A movie that I’m sure a lot

of Star Wars fans would like to see. It concerns a group of Star

Wars fanatics taking on a journey to Skywalker Ranch to watch Episode I early - all to fulfill the

wish of a friend dying from cancer. I was a little disappointed with the trailer, as it didn’t emphasize the

film’s dramatic aspect that much (it’s a comedy, by the way), but I’m still very excited to see it.

Ratatouille - This is a no-brainer for me.

Pixar films usually end up at the top of my most-anticipated lists, and this one is no exception. (Exceptions

would be 1999, when I obviously was most excited to watch The Phantom Menace rather

than Toy Story 2; and 2004, when I was more excited about The

Aviator than I was about The Incredibles. I ended up liking

The Incredibles more than The Aviator, but they were

both masterpieces). I have very high expectations for this film, in fact, that I have a feeling it will make it

past Top 10 in my list of top films. It’s been a long while since that happened…

If

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian were still

scheduled for release this year, it would definitely be tied with Ratatouille as my

most-anticipated film of the year. However, its release date has been pushed back to 2008.

CountSolo - Interesting list…

I don’t think I have

ever heard of the film Fanboys, although it seems to ring a bell. The plot-line of

the film sounds intriguing – I’m quite glad you mentioned it, because I am now rather interesting in checking

this production out. Myself being a big Star Wars fan, as well, I’ll probably end

up adding this feature to my list of “must see” films of 2007.

Thanks for mentioning it. I’m

gonna check it out.

I’m seeing Rocky Balboa on Wednesday, and although it’s

not something I had really planned to see, it does look pretty good, and hopefully will be a satisfying

conclusion to the series.

I want to go see
Ratatouille
Spider Man 3
National Treasure

2

I think National Treasure 2 comes out Dec, 21 2007

I can?t wait till those movies

come out!!!

I really wanna see Pan’s Labyrinth, though I think it’s

in Spanish … >_< And IMDB will not tell me anything.

Oh yeah. I forgot to add the second Narnia movie to my

list of movies I have to see.

I’m looking

forward to the next Harry Potter film, even though I’m not so fond of books turning

into film. It’s only eye-candy to me.

Pan’s Labyrinth looks swell as well.

And of course, I’ll need to see the next in the Narnia series. 'Tis a shame they couldn’t combine

Prince Caspian with Voyage of the Dawn Treader, since

as far as I can remember Prince Caspian wasn’t very interesting. Last

Battle is bound to be great- it’s my favorite of all the books. Next to Magician’s

Nephew, though I doubt they’ll put it to film.

Spiderman 3
Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Teh Simpons Movie. (XD)

Uh

yeah, I’mm probably want to see more as I hear about tthem… you know, with previews and such.

Heh…I’m looking forward to seeing a

lot of those movies…but I’m REALLY excited about

UNDERDOG!!! I get more impatient every day watching

the countdown…when’s it gonna come out??? :open_mouth:

Oh my goodness! I forgot about

Underdog! While I dislike the use of a live dog instead of an animated dog, this is

a must-see movie for me this year.

My guess is that Hypergalaxy is psyched

about Jason Lee voicing Shoeshine Boy. Am I right?

And HG, according to

Wikipedia, Underdog will hit theaters on August 3, which is my birthday!
