I had a dream that I was fighting this machine that applys painful holds on you and another machine armed for war.
I had a dream that I was in one of Mitch’s dreams. Yikes!
A113 - Woah… Dude, that is bizarre. Kinda funny, though.
– Mitch
I had a…unusual…dream the other night. Several other people and I were at this camp in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains (it was a junky place!). Then all of a sudden, Carnage swooped down and starting snatching people up! (FYI, Carnage is the symbiote offspring of Venom from Spiderman…check out Wikipedia for more info) So, the rest of us that were still alive starting hiding behind all the "junk", and if you stepped out into the light, he’d snatch you. Somehow, some of us escaped into the mountains, but decided to come back down and fight the monster …so we go back down and find out the army had arrived. Of course we’re like "Yeah, Carnage, we’re gonna kick your butt!"…Carnage is a very good fighter …when I woke up he was starting to snatch up people from the army, and the prospects didn’t seem to be in our favor.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been writing Spiderman fanfiction…
I had a dream I was in the movie Lion King but it kept switching Asian languages.
SS - Did you understand any of it?
NO, DON’T!
I had a really freaking spooky dream - that’s what I get for not hanging up my new dreamcatcher!
It was sort of like Haunting Ground, the area at least - I had rescued this little girl from this scary old lady but it turned out that the little girl was in fact evil and tried to bite my arm off.
Eh?
Not that long ago I dreamt that I was surfing the 'net and reading about WALL•E and someone had already seen the movie somehow, and posted the ending online. The only thing I could remember that it said is that at the end of the movie WALL•E had to go back to Earth and it took him 270 years, travelling at the speed of light to get there.
Can anyone here control what they dream about? Like, you realise that you are dreaming and then you can sort of make things happen in your dream that you wouldn’t have the opportunity to do in real life. I can do this sometimes, but it’s hard to straddle the line between being asleep enough to dream, but awake enough to control what you want to happen.

You can’t control within your dreams (unless, maybe if you have incredible mental abilities) but I’ve found meditation helps me to clear my mind and I dream more -scratch that- I remember dreams more. Apparently we all have several dreams in one night but we don’t remember them all. I believe it since there are some nights where I can’t recall a dream at all but I have this strong feeling that I did dream … and it sometimes takes something to happen in the day for me to recall. I think it’s either dejavu or a premonition, lol.
Controlling one’s dream seems possible - I found myself able to twist something around in the middle of a dream at some point or another - but to be able to control it completely would require a lot of meditation. I’d estimate a lifetime of it. xD
No, you can’t control your dreams, contrary to popular belief.
My dream last night was lovely. Can’t explain it in full detail though - dreams are quite personal to me and when they actually make sense they hold a deeper meaning … but I can say it was repetitive in the sense that same strange woman was there, and though I couldn’t remember what she had to say, I got to see this wonderful realm that reminded me a little of Narnia and the O.Z. And there were faeries there.
Nice to have a nice dream for once after a week of falling nightmares.
I’ve learned that I have some control as to what I dream of, when I want to, when certain thoughts like falling off the edge of the Grand Canyon don’t haunt my mind.
I don’t think it’s possible to control your dreams, but your dreams can sometimes be themed to the situation that you are in or will be in. The week before I went on the ship, I kept dreaming about ships. It’s that sort of thing. If you’re is conscious enough to control what is happening in your own dream, then you are lucid dreaming, and some people do report knowing and understanding that they are in a dream whilst they’re dreaming, but I’m not sure if it’s a particularly common phenomena.
Firefly: Well, not not exactly. But I’ll tell you I have been listening to Lion King songs in Japanese and CHinese the earlier.
SS - Sounds like you’re a living example of LG’s observation of controlling your dreams. You might not be able to control them, but you sure can influence them.
A113- (Still referring to my dream post) Eh?
FF: XD (sorry I was thinking of something else)
You’re absolutely right. You can’t exactly control your dreams while they’re being dreamt, but your activities and thoughts during the past day usually influences them.
For example, you know how horrible the American news TV networks are? Well, I try not to watch it that much, but once I did, and that night I dreamt about people shooting guns everywhere. Amazing I didn’t get “hurt”.
It still scares me a little.
A113 - I know what you mean. My family rented “Blood Diamond” and because it was rated R I didn’t want to watch it (I’m very picky about my movies). So I stuck myself in my room and played on my computer, but thanks to our loud speakers in the living room, I heard almost every word and gunshot. That night, I had a nightmare similar to yours, except I DID get hurt. Precisely the reason I can’t stand any type of scary or gory movie - I’ll take my dreams full of peace, thank you very much!
Last night, I had one of the most vivid dreams in my life. I woke up multiple times during the dream, but I went back to the same dream every time I fell back to sleep. I don’t really remember much…But this is what I do recall.
I was sitting next to a girl outside. It’s night time, the moon is straight above us. I am madly in love with her (It’s one of those dreams where you just know stuff), but she can’t communicate with me. It’s like we speak totally different languages. I have an intense feeling of total love and adoration and at the same time, despair, because we can’t talk.
That’s all I remember, but man, that was some dream.
FF: Oh, don’t watch those types of films. They’re just plain stupid and pointless (and if they have a point, it’s just plain evil). Glad it was just a dream. Still, a dream where you get hurt is pretty much a nightmare, no? (I can’t believe I’m Canadian
JF: Wow. That’s a good idea for a movie.
