Ive always been into art. I could never decide what part of the feild i wanted to be in until i was in about 7th grade, then i knew i wanted to be in animation… And here i am 6 years later going to school for animation!
I remember when I was in about 6th grade, me and my friend wanted to be like Johney Knoxville, Stev-O, and Bam Margerra and get a living hurting ourselves in stupid stunts and what not. It sounded like an awsome idea at the time. Then later that year, we were set on starting a rock band, and then that never hapenned. Then in Junior high I wanted to own a pizza shop for some reason.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a missionary to other countries. Then when I was 10-11, I wanted to be an astronaut sooo freakin’ bad. Seriously you guys, you have NO idea how much I wanted to go to space! Then when I started high school and realized just how much math would be involved to even think of going into that field, I totally bailed.
Throughout the rest of high school I grasped a deeper appreciation for art in general (I’ve always loved behind-the-scenes of movies and adored drawing, but never actually grasped it as a love of mine), and was mainly inspired to pursue a career more art-oriented by Pixar and this very site way back in 2007, before I even joined. Now with the support of my parents and a lot of people I look up to in my life, not to mention all of you awesome Pixar fans here, now more than ever before I feel like I may actually reach that goal of journeying into the art career. Which field exactly I want to go into, I’m still not sure. There’s too many options, and I can see myself doing all of them!

I couldn’t make up my mind when I was a child. First it was an artist, but I couldn’t and still can’t draw to save my life. Then it moved on to a basketball player, but I got bored of basketball even though I was pretty good at it. After that it was a writer… I’m a pretty good writer so yeah. Then I wanted to be a vet or be involved in something that has to do with animals, but that didn’t last long.
Finally, I am going for a career in the medical field, but do to lack of work experience I am thinking of just graduating out of college first and foremost. Then after that I will concentrate on getting my work experience up then maybe go into something such as working at an animal shelter or something. I am happy that I am almost done with school, but I think I might just end up using my diploma as a back up… just incase something were to happen. As for everything else, I admire art (such as animation and whatnot), from afar. Basketball I don’t care much for anymore. I write as a hobby or for school work and as far as animals are concerned I still want them somewhere in my life.
I have a feeling that throughout the rest of my adult life I am going to be like Jackie from the show Roseanne when it comes to sticking with a job. XD
First I wanted to be nurse, then I realized you had to work with needles and blood. Darnit childhood make believe toys! You lied to me! shakefist
Then I wanted to be an actor/singer. Nothing particularly BAD happened to stop that, and I still enjoy it, but then the 6th grade came…
… and I discovered I loved to write like woah. Wanted to be that for a long time…
…then well head over heels for animation. Tried it a bit and started asking if I want to draw EVERY DAY, ALL DAY, on SOMEBODY ELSE’S TERMS.
So now I’m going for an English major, wanting to write for animation. If any of you crazyawesome dreamers who want to draw at Pixar end up producing a film and need a co-writer who is flexible, has good ideas, and loves animation… COUGH
